Back over by a Semi-truck on my busa,

I'm sure you got a police report....right? Did the officer put down about the loud music? Any little thing could help you.

That is insanely scarry! I suggest to get an air horn for the Busa, mine works great!

Sorry to hear, glad yall are okay.

There should be MUCH stricter standards in general for these road wreckers! I can not stand these MF'ers!!!They don't even bother to brush the gravel & dirt and sh*t off the back off the tailgate half the time. The sh*t drops off the back and sand blasts your vehicle and/or you get lovely rock chips in your paint. Not to mention they usually don't even have mud flaps.
The problem is, w/out them we can't get new or decent roads laid. So its a can't live w/out them... can't :firing: them BS situation.

Glad you guys are safe. I always pull out to the drivers side of the vehicle in front just a little and keep a good eye in the rear views.

Glad you and yours are OK!!
Do not back down from the BS that the Asphalt Plant owner(s) will undoubtedly try to feed you! Settle for nothing less that a brand new busa and then some! You could have been killed!! A good lawyer would be salavating to get his hands on this case!!

glad you and your wife are okay.

:rulez:

loud music has no bearing on this case

He is at fault, I hope you got a police report and I demand his is cited plus I would go to the extreme of contacting DOT personally.

Push for your bike to be totalled and demand it to be replaced with a new 09.

I dont care what the circumstance, I never ever get behind a vehicle that cant see me while on a hill, If I have to then Im sitting 25 feet away and can make a fast manuever around if they start to come backwards on me...good luck on the fix...you sure you dont have whiplash or need to see a counsler for your nerves!! lol
that new cowl and front end and probably a main stay and mirror as well as the exhaust cam is atleast 3g in damage

very glad your ok...so the wife bailed huh, whatever happend to better or worse..lol
my wife jumped off my bike when i was rear ended and by her doing that she caused me to fall over when I was still upright and able to save it:banghead:

Glad you and the mrs. are ok. Sorry bout the bike. They should at least pay for the repairs.

Glad you are OK. Come up to the I-57 Drag strip sometime & look us up. Several local Busa riders are there most Friday nights. This Friday is a "Bikes Only" night.

LIke Bogus saidand I was wondering too. Why was his backup alarm on. Why would he be backing up if waiting to pull out onto another road? Glad you guys are alright and be very carefull around anyone in a vehicle. I think some people order their licence from JC Whitney.

This applies to ALL situations with tractor-trailers:

Yep, Mr. Bogus, my thoughts exactly. If the reverse beep was working then he must have been actively backing up. Doing so with music so loud you can't hear traffic around you is, at the very least, "bad".

I don't know why but the visual I had was of a slight incline (grade) to the road where you stopped. After re-reading your post, I don't see that mentioned. I would assume had there been you would have just pulled the clutch and rolled back with him however you mentioned "peddling backward" which would make me think it was relatively flat. Yes?

Did you (Noma) ask what his reason for putting it into reverse was? I assume you both swapped paperwork?

Hope it all gets fixed up right as rain!

OH, I'd be talking to a lawyer alright...in a heartbeat! Glad your alright...I probably would have needed a lawyer if I were in your shoes because I would have broke his face with my hand...and I would have left my helmet on so he couldn't hit me back!
