While not as bad as Atlanta Ga. Law Dog, I had a women back into my red Y2K Busa this morning. Came out from my office at lunch and judging by the hole the kickstand dug into the concrete, it was shoved back 3 feet. Had a brake disk lock on, the forks locked to the left, scorpio alarm on and in gear. After the first 6 inches the front end was history. Totaled the fender and twisted the forks such that it is unrideable.
Looked around the parking lot for the guilty party, could find one and was about to chalk it up to a hit and run then I remembered the bank in my office building has cameras all over the place. So I went in and asked to see the morning footage, apparently the women that hit me saw the crowd watching the video and figured she better fess up and did. "oh are you the motorcycle owner whose bike I BUMPED this morning, I was going to tell you but did not know who owned it" Yeah right, my !#*, you were going to tell me, you got insurance?
Fortunately she does and has Progressive and a claims adjuster is going to look at it tomorrow.
Any of you fellow Busa riders been through a frame alignment inspection? Fear it was enough force that there may be damage I can't see.
In advance, thanks.
