Banned from R6 Forum

What's an R6? Had to look it up with Google. Apparently it's one of those imported chinese pit bike scooters things, you know, 50cc chainsaw engine or something like that. At least that's what it looked like to me.

(LOL :rofl: :laugh::whistle:)

Whats the heck is he doing here?

Why do so many people care what others wear for gear?

If you gear up or if you don't I really don't care one bit, I like people for who they are not how they dress.

I also like how people think more gear make you a better rider, hahaha.

When I was a kid they would come up the local dressed in all their fancy "daniese" and "alpinestars" full race suits:bowdown:. I was lucky if I had the money for fuel. You'd pull away with them thinkin'n if he is dressed like Wayne Rainey, maybe he can ride like him or atleast you were gunna get a good ride but ...... bumpkas !

All the gear and no idea

That made me think about "White Men Can't Jump" when Woody said "you would rather look good and loose.......".:rofl::rofl::rofl:

:please: don't flame me, I think gear is important and I do wear full armored leathers, boots and gloves, but not when I am going a 1/2 mile to return a Redbox movie.

like the rest have stated, its your choice. i suffered a sever crash in april of this year on a vrod. i had racing boots, full leather gauntlet gloves and FF helmet and a cavass jacket. only road rash was the right side stomach. i drag race so i'm a firm believer in safety gear. i'll ride in a t-shirt and jeans, but ALWAYS wear a FF helmet, high top leather boots and full gauntlet gloves no matter how hot. theres a lot of sport bike riders come to 1130cc dot com and taunt the guys over there and get banned. i think its funny to see people argue over the internet. good luck and don't let jacklegs that want to bash you on the internet.

I don't think it's a matter of making one a better rider but it's the fact that you care about another human being, that you don't want to see them get hurt, or worse yet killed ( not that gear will save you every time)

If you guys haven't notice most folks on here really do care about the well being of their fellow riders and will go above and beyond to help anyone out.

It's about being friends and family.

Hospital stays, broken bones, skin graphs and funerals can get very expensive, maybe if a bit of gear will save that from happening then it would be worth it...no?

let me start off by saying this is a great site!! I really mean that good people here for sure, although some sites take stuff so seriously and ban you right away, I have a 73 nova lots of mods and 450ish horse power joined a site and was kicked off for making jokes saying stuff like the muffler berring was loose and the nut behing the wheel silly stuff like that, all I can say is that there is plenty of forums out there when you find one that is good you will know and this site is a very good one, so here is a picture of her

I am the guy who got jumped upon for saying sometimes I like to ride without a helmet..
Now this post is taking on a similar dimension........
It makes me laugh when I read these threads, because it seems to come across that if you ride ATGATT then you are a great rider but if you ride without having everything then you are a squid......... Well I do not see the connection... Squids are squids with or without the gear.. If you can ride you can ride again with or without the gear..I fully support peoples right to have an opinion about this and understand if you believe you should be suited up EVERYTIME...However give me and many other guys a break!!! Wearing a helmet etc will never make me Mladin or anything close.. I am an average rider who has the luck to ride a quick bike and I am pretty sure that just about everybody on here falls into that category also... So lets be nice and be real.... Peace and Happy New Year!!!!!

I guess I'm missing something here. I have looked at every post, and I do not see one that says wearing gear makes you a better rider.

Well I was referring to a previous thread about me liking not to wear my helmet sometimes and all the gear nazis flamed me and said I was a squid!!!

If anybody actually read the thread that got this troll banned from the other forum, they'd see that the conflict wasn't all about gear. He just got butthurt when people called him out for being a pansy about the temperature. He acted like a troll there, and that's just what he's done here. Notice that his last activity was when he posted this thread. No reply or login since then.

We all went through the ATGATT debates just the other day with STW's thread. Why don't we stop feeding the troll and put this thread out of its misery?

See, StwBusa, what you don't seem to understand is the way in which many of us interpret that sort of post.
When you say, "I like to ride without a helmet", what we see is, "I am irresponsible. Please flame me."
When you say, "It's my right to ride without protective gear!", what we see is, "Not only am I irresponsible, I am retarded and I will get all defensive about my position, no matter how irrational it may be."
Then the trolls, being attracted to a defensive poster in the way a shark is attracted by the struggling of a wounded fish, turn up and savage you.
Any further comments from you on the topic will be interpreted as, "Squid, squid, squid, squid, squid."

The above is in no way intended to be a personal attack; I'm just trying to show you how a forum works.

I am not new to Forums...So I understand how it can work but... Surely one rider expressing himself is also what these forums are about.. Believe me I do not take it personally I just think its funny how the expression of such a thing is equatable with being a squid!!! My point is ATGATT doesn't make you a great rider... Not wearing a helmet doesn't make you a squid..

I'll ask you again, show me one post that said wearing gear makes you a better rider.

:rofl: You are probably my favorite person on this site because you dont hold back
...minus making fun of my grammar :spank:

Wow.. this thread is just highlighting everything I was saying. It must be off season for most because there's obviously way too much time to discuss and unsolvable issue that just keeps popping up. Anyone up for religion or politics next? Someone kill this poor thread.
:deadhorse:
Dude that started this thread.. One.. just ride.. Two, never bring this topic up on ANY moto related board. I don't care if you're talking about riding 50s in your front yard. (should know if it started heat in one board, it'll do it in another board)... Unless you are a drama queen and like that type of attention.:beerchug:

Oh Boy.. Ok If not suiting up makes you a squid then by a process of elimination suiting up makes you a better rider... No???

We are finally in agreement, No. I know squids who are great riders, they just don't have enough sense to protect their noggin against something they cannot control, such as a deer running out in front of them. At any rate, if you choose not to gear up, I respect your right to do so, I just don't think it is the smart thing to do. But what do I know, I'm a somewhat of a new rider, as I have only been riding 47 years.

No gear + sport bike = squid.

table saw - guard = wood working squid.

beer + boat - life jackets = fishing squid.

Ya can't teach a squid, you can only repair them or bury them.

cheers
ken

No gear + sport bike = Fast Harley Rider.

table saw - guard = non-union worker who isn't going to sue if he gets hurt.

beer + boat - life jackets = my kind of weekend.

Ya can't teach a squid, you can only videotape them and make them a superstar on youtube....

cheers
ken

FIXED... :moon:
