Big thanks to Truwrecks / Doug for coming up here to Bham to visit me , Doug used to have a Hayabusa so weve met for a ride in the past. I know Doug from Hayabusa.ORG as well, he is a great guy.

Anyhow , apparantly he visited me at Harborview after my motorcycle wreck but I dont remember a single day there , regarless I am happy he came to see me there.

So yesterday afternoon he calls and says hes coming up If I dont mind, hell yeah, come over I say.

So hours later he pulls up in that bad ass 05' Corvette Z-51 ive seen him in last year.

Damn its sweet.

So I want to get a ride in it, he says sure!

I get in shortly after that , wow the thing has a mean cam lobe,
like its a race car or something.

Off we go to Chuckanut Dr.

Holy crap this car is fast, we head down Chuckanut and damn!!!!

He can drive that thing too!!!!!!!!!!!

Roads were wet from the rain of course but still he hit a few of them corners
at what is well beyond what ive seen some motorcyclists hit them at.

Ok so I aint been on a ride nearly like this since before I wrecked my bike in Aug. my stomach starts turning !!, not because I was nervous but because we were sport riding his car for sure, the torque on that thing is amazing,G city.

Anyhow down to the end then back again we went!!

Awesome!!

Doug and his Vette could easily hang with MANY sportbike riders on a ride
as far as I am concerned.

So back to my house we go, he offers me dinner but honestly my stomach could not take a dinner right after that ride.
We came back to my house ,sat a bit then we went.

He takes me out to eat a Prime Rib meal!!

Yum, thanks Doug!!

Welp I had a good time riding with and chatting with Doug, he says hes gonna take me racing in his car this year, I guess he can have passengers!
I am excited for it!

Hate to break it but Doug and his Vette could smoke a damn lot of street motorcyclists, good track riders ,no but damn its a car!!
Geez I am impressed to hell!!!!

Ive never been on a sport ride in a car like that before, ever.
I used to have a Mustang GT 5.0 but it was weak in comparison,
so is everything else ive ridden in.

Thanks Doug, you and your car kick ass, thanks for the Prime Rib dinner too.

Cannot wait to ride with ya again, especially the autocross race!!

I searched and found a pic of his Vette, course he had the top on yesterday .

hmm...good to hear that things are infinitely better for you, BV.

Quite alot you've been through.

Glad things are going well BV. Hope the op. on Weds. goes well too. Great pics., keep'em com'in. Nice to see you up and around, you'll be riding hard before you know it. Keep the faith, Doug.

Way cool, bro. Yeah, most cars could outdo a biker if the car driver knows what he's doing, especially in the twisties.

I'm no pro but I'm okay. A few months back, a couple of BMW 525i's kicked my a$$ in the mountains above Los Angeles (ACH). Truly impressive. I had to pull over and let them pass after a couple of miles. It was the first time I've ever seen a car on a public roadway with a driver who knew how to handle the car!

James, good to hear you're doing so well. Keep us posted, as always!

Welp today is the day I get the results for my neuropsychological testing , I did several hours of them. He may run a few tests again or some new ones.

After the testing the doctor thought I did very well except for my memory testing was not good. But that was just off the top of his head, what he says today is what is gonna matter.

IMO there is no question that I will be back physicallly before I am back mentally. Which could improve over a years time, the first 6 months is the main beginning section for healing my brain. Hopefully a little memory comes back , they say it could , even after a year a bit. Aug 2 was my wreck, ive totally forgotten July ~20 to Sept 15th or 20th or so. Though its also possible that I
will never remember any of it.

That aint my main concern though, I just want to be able to live my life again
kinda like it was. I hope there aint no major brain injurys.

I am pretty good friends with Steven (tufbusa) from meeting on the org.
I had told him that a couple yrs ago,my mother in law fell backwards and slammed her head on the hard floor.
She was rushed to the hospital where she had damaged her brain. When she got out,she had to have rehabilitation nurses at her house.

She had to start all over walking with a walker and everything. It took about a year but now she can do anything..

so give it a bit of time,i'm sure things will be a lot better....

Brendan

Hope all is OK my friend!
I know you have bad news or something similar but on different note my Brother in Law has a new vette with a supercharger in it, Kick ass sound system too. He has been on the cover of a few magazines in the past couple of months to. He is pushing 572 HP and the torque I forget. but he can't beat me still. From a roll on at about 40-50 he keeps up to we hit 120 or more then a walk him no problem, more like leaving him behind once we hit that speed. Off the line he loses too much traction. He has these sick wide tires on to. They still break lose at 50 .

Again hope all is OK!!
