Had to think on this for a minute before writing...I love the copper and would not sell it...I originally bought the black one to modify...polish frame chrome wheels engine work etc. ....but when I saw the blue with the above mods I think it will be killer..so now the black is for sell...and the blue is here...

Copper .How does the saying go; All VETTES are RED all other colors are mistakes. Copper is the only color. all the other are well you know the rest!!!!!!!!!!!

JC is that copper with mud accents or just plain copper? You ought to experiment with a few new colors since you have those extra body panels.

Saw a Blue/Grey today. Very beutifuul. I thought about trading in my Blue ZX9. And I am still kicking it around. I love the way it looks.

Both colors for '00 are beautiful. The red is a great shade if you're not wanting to lean toward a "boy-racer" shade of red. My seat-of-the-pants survey finds that the blue/silver gets the most favorable comments. As I was about to pull off the dealer's lot, a guy with a seriously disappointed look asked if I would be willing to sell mine on the spot, even with a red one still available. Someone late in the deposit game may be well advised to take either color. The bike is too nice to let it pass you by; (Let's see if I change my tune if I start having cut-out problems like on some of the '99s, or dealer problems). My dealer's first batch was two reds, two blues. Deposits were first on both blues, the a red. From the enthusiasm I've seen on .org, I was surprised that there wasn't a deposit on the last red one. (Some don't like the insurance rates on bikes over 1000 ccs here; some of my buddies are waiting to hear more about either the 929, 12R, or the X-Wing).

Well, now that most of us have seen the new colors for 2000, what do you think? I've seen the new red combo and the blue is hot, but the '99 black/grey combo is still tops in my book and should have long-term staying power. Of course, I own a b/g combo. Had money on a copper one, but fell in love with the b/g when I first saw it. The ad agency that does Suzuki's photos doesn't seem to capture the true colors of the bikes. Every one looks radically different in the flesh. We'll wait for 2001 to see what's new before I change.

They definitely do look different in real life than in pictures. Also different out in the sunlight than in a showroom. I like B/G best too, but since I missed it red/grey will be just fine with me. Copper looks great outdoors...I think copper photographs the worst, it looks way better outdoors than in pictures. Blue/grey looks good just to look at, but I don't think I'd want to own it. It's too racer-boy for me, like a yellow 900RR or those green Kaws. I'd get tired of it. The sad truth is that I'm more commuter-boy than racer-boy; but commuting on the Busa means going to work every morning with a smile on your face. :)

#1) COPPER - Copper is faster!

#2) Carbon Fiber - Carbon is lighter

Solution - Paint Carbon bodywork Copper!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Actually, now that I think about it, I liked the copper a whole lot more in real life than I did in the pictures!

Copper rules!

Nothing else on the Road is Copper,,Nothing Else is A "Copper Hayabusa".

Not even a Debate as to which Color looks Best.

Blk & Grey is a Dime a Dozen Color.

i went looking for a copper bike but the only one i found was b/g . after a stupid mishap that destroyed most of my body panels i changed it to copper .
you see a copper busa and there is no mistaking it for anything other than a busa , no matter what angle you see it from !
i havnt seen the blue and silver yet but i really want to . and i had a pic sent to me of an all silver busa that looked pretty sharp.
(i really just wanted my bike to match my .org t-shirt!) lol

Put CHROME up against BLACK and it's unbeatable!

The BLUE looks good if not going to do a bunch of changes.

But BLACK, alot of CHROME, and a polished frame wins in all color combonations!

Sorry, CbxChris.....

The guys with the copper always have to tell everyone how beautiful their color is. I think they're just trying to convince themselves :) It's not as bad as kawa green :) If I said more of what I thought of copper all you guys would be mad :)

I passed up a copper for more than 3 months to get my gr/blk. Do you know what kind of misery that was? Sure glad I waited :)

well, i finally saw a red/gry y2k busa two days ago. i never liked it from the pics. looks kinda like "melon" red. but it actually looks great. not as good as my blk/gry but really good. it's actually a dark maroon. if you haven't seen one yet, go to your local suzuki dealer and look at the maroon bandit 1200. same color. they call it red, but it's a really beautiful maroon.

I agree, Frank- there's nothing like a black bike, in my opinion. Maybe I'm biased by my old days of owning 3 black Harleys, but mainly it just looks right swinging a leg over in my full black leathers. Or, maybe I'm just getting old and dated.... But it sure supports a killer attitude!

Blood Red rocks.
