I've been wanting to do this to mine! I'm on the taller side and feel like I could use the pegs to be just a little lower. How does it feel when riding? I love the rubber pegs and I'm worried by switching them out I would be upset and lose riding comfort without the rubber pad

They fell great getting them where you like them. They do have a more direct feeling without the rubber pads, but you get used to them quickly.

Here you have more to win than to loose by positioning your feet lower in the oem position, lower to the back or lower to the front and yes sorry to let you know you sure loose the rubber comfort. If you ask me i prefer loosing more weight and the lower position vs the rubber under the feet. The rubber after a few rides you forget about it you can ask any one who has done the change i hope this helps you decide.

So basically I would need the vortex rear sets, a shift rod kit, and where do I get the heim joint from?

I also heard recently that if you contact Vortex directly, they will ship the appropriate parts that you need for a gen3 Busa...
