The real question is: does anyone know what the invoice is on these things?
I know in AZ they were going to sell me a new 07 for 10k OTD tax is 8% and I'm figuring title & license to be another $280 so that puts the invoice of the bike in the $8k range for the old model.

I hate to hear any Busa called the "old model". when the 08's hit the streets thats all you'll hear. " oh, you have an old one". Just sounds strange.

LOL! That does suck, but it is bitterly true. My Viper with all the tens of thousands I put into it to make it over 1,000HP is about to be outdated when the new one hits the streets any day now, as well as my book value on mine will take a sh-t.
I was at the zuki dealer today and there was a pretty black 07 Busa sittting there that he wanted to sell me at a loss, but once I thought about it I told him that even if he sold it to me for half price, I know the day will come when the new one hits the streets and it rolls up next to me I'll be saying to myself, "I should have waited to buy the new and improved model".
Not to mention, like the store manager told me in private, the new one is going to have 20HP more, and you would have to spend thousands to make the old model compare to the new one in power.
I think I could live with the "baby got back" rear end on the new one, as the crab eye stalk blinkers on all the bikes should have been done away with back in the 90's.
It's good to see Suzuki stepping up to the plate with a stab at redesining the stock tail section with a turn signal integration from the factory. I know that is going to rob some cash from the aftermarket guys that charge hundreds of dollars for kits.

Invoice price is what the dealer pays.
I'm thinking the dealer pays less than $10k

I bought a new black 07 from Champon motorcycles in Mesa OTD for 8900.  I don't know if they have any left but Jason Citron sold me mine.  I got quite a deal onthat one. If you aren't charged sales tax at the dealer you will have to pay it here in Arizona. Anyhow, just my 2 cents.

Damn bro! That was a screaming deal! Tax and all for $8900?
I've been watching the prices on E-bay for people trying to sell 07's and older for more than what you can buy them for at the dealer right now.
Well I guess there's no harm in dreaming

Hello everyone. Has anyone gotten a great deal in the Long Island, N.Y. area or the TRi-State area? Please post it.
I can get a great deal on an '07 but I am on the fence waiting to see the '08.
The way I figure it, it will be about 3000.00 more, but I guess we are all weighing that.
Also, I have to tell you, that where I come from "OTD" means total final price including everything. Cost of bike, freight, setup, DMV, tax and any other BS charges the Dealer can try to obtain. So, just a suggestion, but maybe we should talk price as being Total price without DMV and TAX. (every state is diferrent) Or maybe clarify when posting. Does anyone agree?

I agree 100%.....otd is a meaningless euphemism unless you live in the same zip code.

Da Bug disagree's...... on OTD
I've never been to a dealership in any state at anytime in my life for Automobiles, Trucks, Rv's, Boats, or Motorcycles EVER list/advertise the price of a vehicle with tags, taxes, Freight, Set-up, blah blah blah etc.... There are just to many variables and not every buyer is from in state. Even where it comes to the sales tax it might change a hundred times depending on which city you live in or what county you register for DMV fee's.... Out The Door simply means just that; out the door to your truck/trailer/vehicle/or home. Then When you get ready to Tag/Register that vehicle You the buyer are solely responsible for taking the Title/vehicle/proof of Insurance and a host of other things to your local DMV. Of course this would depend on where you live.

However, I do agree that a lot of times tax IS included... This isn't the case here! Still its hard to argue when the prices are this good.

I think we have a misunderstanding what point I was trying to make here.
Here in the tristate area, dealers are notorious for a great price and when you sit down with them they try to explain that there is this bogus freight and setup fee / documentation fees.
For instance, a dealer in my area who advertises great prices tries to add 890.00 for the freight and setup alone. I've also seen this in other states on E-Bay and it ranges from nothing to several hundred dollars.
SO when we see an OTD price it should reflect everything that the selling dealer is expecting less tax and DMV since that is respective to each state. Do you still disagree?
