yea most shippers do that for security reasons. When my brother bought his bike from a guy in indiana, the keys were mailed to me when they picked the bike up. They strapped and wrapped the bike to a pallet so there is no need for them to have the keys at all."the shipper wants it sent seperately"
are you kidding me?
what about what the BUYER wants!!!
I think you got screwed..post the vin#
Had mine shipped from ohio to philly...keys in it,I had the title overnited to me though before I paid for the bike and had an address for the seller since i was mailing ck,,,I would have been at his front door with an 8hr ride if there was a problem with anythingyea most shippers do that for security reasons. Agree with you, James, but he shouldn't have to do that. Maybe less of a thing if he had gotten a he!! of a deal on the bike, but it doesn't appear so.The keys would be nice, but you could take the vin to the dealer and order a key for it. They should be able to cut it from the numbers. You will have to have the title or prove that you own it. Good luck, and I bet you are excited!
You're killin' me man...where are the keys!Hi Guys. I paid $6k for the bike, plus shipping ($800). I am wise on scammers...this guy never showed one indication he is one. You never know though! I think he is either very busy (like he says) or just lackadaisical. He's never been rude, pushy, or negative. Always very respectful and good mannered.
Last night I was on YouTube looking at hayabusa burnouts just to satiate my desire to ride!! You don't see too many copper Busas on there (only 2). Some of the guys on there really beat the hell out of their bikes. I feel sorry for them.
AgreeNo tracking number! No keys and title! I'd be threating him on the law for fraud and whatever else you can think of! Being lazy or busy is one thing! He had time to go to the post office twice once to send originally only to tell you it came back. Why it come back. Usually when you go to mail stuff like that is is over the counter and passes though their hands. Threats of involving the police should maybe speed up the process. He just made 6k think he can afford to take time to ship it correctly. I know this is the weekend atm,but If you don't get some sort of proof that he sent it off by monday nite Is when I would start with the "getting the law involved" stuff. Good luck I know you itching to start her up!
*** Before you start her up make sure you got proper amount coolant and oil in her. Also it helps to know which type oil he used. Syn or reg. Type of coolant.Mixing isn't suggested.
Very well put and I can relate very well. Every time I get totally fed up someone great comes along and restores my faith, and the circle starts over again. Hang in there and let's hope for the bestThank guys
You are right, if I don't get anything today I'm going to quit being Mr. nice guy. I don't know what it is about human nature, but I really try to treat everyone else like I want to be treated. Seems the majority of people just figure they can be lax with me since they consciously or subconsciously interpret my niceness as weakness. I'm having this problem with more than enough people, currently. I never want to be a hard-ass with people and want to give them the benefit of the doubt, but I just get sh!t on.
