BIG BORE BUSAS

Back in the mid to late 80's there was a guy named Suzuki Dan in the Detroit area. He had 3 GS1100 or GS1150 bikes that ran progressively quicker/faster. IF he got beat with one, he came back with the next one. Then if he got beat again, the 3rd one came out. I believe he made a LOT of money, and I can't recall him EVER losing with the 3rd bike. He'd take the 1st or 2nd bike to Detroit dragway to put the word out, then clean up that night with a different bike. I think he eventually built a turbo bike, but I don't know what happened to him after that. He was an older guy, so maybe he "retired". The guy could ride!

Frank,
Im trying to get one done. Really. My 6 month anniversary of the "Big Bang" is just around the corner. Its been so long I can almost laugh about it. Well....almost.

Rule # 1 never start a engine project without at least a spare engine or luckly in my case a spare busa......words of wisdom from been there and experienced that.....

Paul, You did a smart thing when you sold your Busa for those reasons.

The Busa is no Circus thats for sure!

Bill Koz might be able to demo a "side show" on his zx-12?!

I could just see him now wearing a big red rubber nose while doing a tank slapper.

There was a 1360 at piedmont dragway in NC last night, did not get to see it run personaly but heard it was running a 5.60 in its initial shake down runs. Did not get a mph or 60ft time though.

Choasrise: The 1360 busa you saw last night normally runs in the 1/8 mile 5.60's @127.4mph 60ft was 1.41. It made a pass last night but I think it was having clutch problems because the best time last night was a 5.93 @ 121.6, 60 ft 1.49.

Cycle stuff,

Yes i have seen many of the bike Lee build and have rode a busa that put out 186hp with no internal engine mods, the boy that owned the bike recently went to prison and the bike was put up for sale $14000.00. The damn bike was fast!! It went 5.90's at Darlighton s.c.
As for why we dont hear about more og these bikes that's simple people that street race dont talk about what they got.The above bike was street raced and won many times, the only way I knew what it had is I was good freinds with the owner.
Busa1300,
Yes I did see the scud run and it was very fast more so on the street,LEE'S NOT AFRAID TO RACE ON THE STREET AND WILL STILL IF THE MONEY IS RIGHT.The scud ran 8.90's foot shifting at THR ROCK a couple of years back.
It had a 1206 waterpumper and lee said it was making about 206-210hp at the rear wheel. His new scud is almost finished.
