BIGROD1300 and family need our prayers

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just talked to him a week before this happened.. Ive been off the Org for a few days.. Im in shock.. I cant imangine how his family is holding up... Heres to a safe a speedy recovery.. Bigrod a true Friend and quick to answer any ?'s you might have on a Busa..

:please: come home Rod..

I cannot tell you how much I appreciate you guys keeping Rod in your thoughts.

On Saturday Rod was taken out of ICU.

He can say "Hi" "Yes" and "No". There is no improvement (no change) to his right side paralysis. The Dr. discovered he has lost some vision in BOTH eyes, in the upper right corner. The Dr's say his brain will correct this by simply forcing him to turn his head further to see in those areas. Rod has started on anti-depressants, this is a safety precaution due to his condition and situation.

Tuesday Rod will have a scope of his heart done so the Dr's can further examine his heart rhythm issue.

Wednesday Rod will have a swallow test done. He will have to swallow yogurt, then have an x-ray done to ensure his muscles are pushing the food down to his stomach and not nesting in his esophagus. I

We should hear back Wed evening for an update on the heart scope, swallow test and any more improvements.

Trudy and the family have expressed great appreciation for our prayers, well-wishes, etc.

Admins have his hosp info.

Sorry just now saw this post. Sending some prayers for a speedy recovery and comfort for his family and friends.

still thinking of ya Rod and your family....more prayers sent..

I haven't been on for weeks and just came across this. What a horrible thing, Rod...hang in there man. Wishing you all the best all the way from Israel.
Thanks for the updates on his situation guys.

Quick update:

He can write, its very limited as he has to use left hand (he is right handed), but is able to write on the dry erase board
Unfortunately his attitude has changed and he has basically refused to talk to anyone out of frustration

He is having trouble swallowing. They are going to give him milk shakes and pureed food to develop his throat muscles enough to push the food down.

The family and Dr's are expecting to move Rod back home some time next week back to Hagerstown MD, where he will continue therapy (speech, writing, basic muscle movements etc).

Thanks for the update Heavy. I know it must be real hard for him to accept, but I hope that his knowing so many people care about him will give him some strength to fight.
