Me and Natalie are good friends , you guys dont have a clue. She is a working mother with 3 kids , she currently works
3 caregiver related jobs.
If you are truely interested in donating then contact the family with the info she provided above. Ask for a phone number and discuss this
with the girls father....if you need pictures of her injurys its not likely the guy is gonna want your money though.
Seriously though, if you are skeptical then dont donate , I think this goes without saying anyways.
Now for the rest of you who just want to start some ####, i suggest you move along asap.

How hard would it have been to add some links for a local news story for validation? This couldn't have happened without the police and news media getting involved. If it were my daughter, you can dam well bet that I'd have made this public in a big way trying to find the assh*le that did it.
All we've been asking for is some validation/proof.
The members of this board have helped MANY people in the past with both monetary, and non-monetary support. People give freely when it is a good cause, but due to the low-lifes on the internet that scam people, it makes it hard to trust those that we don't "truely" know.
I tried doing a search, in hopes of finding some corroberating information, but I cannot find it. Why not?
Okay...just got off the phone with the St.Cloud Times newsroom.
Gena could not find anything using Alexandra Albrecht, but she is going to talk to her other resources and see if she can find out any information on this. She will be talking to her Court Reporter, and the Police Liason.
If she finds anything, then she has my name, work phone number, and my work e-mail to give me any updated information. I post an update when I hear back from her.

I'm with stkr00. If it's true then it is a truly sad event. And I will give generously. But so many a$$holes are pulling scams for money these days we are all a little hesitant. Bentvalve, why can't you understand our request for information about this. There should be a news paper story or something to back this up. Can they provide a link to a local paper or TV news channel for a follow up. If something like this happened to one of my kids I would spend day and night for as long as it took to track down this low life and then the news story would be about me mutilating or killing this a$$hole. Again, if it pans out I will be glad to help.

However, if it did then just provide some backup to the story. And I will be one of the first to help in any way. If you have ever read any of my post's about kids you would know I have a deep love for children. They are so innocent and trusting and rely on us to protect them and care for them. Please understand, you know these people, we don't, yet. Help us to know and understand them and their situation.

And this is coming from the same guy that tried to start a bunch of crap with Cache about the members here donating to get his bike back.
I don't really care if you respect me or not. I'm just not going to give freely to everyone that posts up a message without verifying the validity.
I don't have a "Everyone is out to get me" attitude, I'm just cautious, and it has served me well over the last 40 years. If it bites me, then so be it, I'll learn from it.
Maybe we should have a board rule that if someone is looking for help, then they have to submit their request to the Board Administrator and Moderators before posting so that once it IS posted, we know that it has been reviewed and verified. That would save us all a lot of hassle.
My past problems with Cache have nothing to do with this nor are you even able to judge that situation because you dont know the whole story.
Anyways, as I have already said ...fine ..do what you like.

My bad BV, but I mistook your earlier post for something other than you had intended! To me it read like, You didn't know this person or any of the folks she was mentioning! So, it was at this time the Bug jumped in........ Now, that you've cleared this up there will be no more misunderstandings. The other deal is your business along with those involved! Thanks to you the father was contacted by the police today and thankfully was protected because child privacy laws prevent them from handing out this kind of information to total strangers such as yourself.

There are no child privacy laws that prevent someone from verify the truth of a story. Maybe the identity of the people involved, but not the story itself.
When I talked to the Chief of Police in Sauk Rapids, he told me that he had spoke with Mr.Albrecht and that there had not been any accident. Nor did the police department or Benton County Sherrif's office have and record of an accident of this nature. Nor did any of the local hospital have a record of treatment for her.
I guess...According to you...The Chief of Police, Curt Gullickson, was lieing to me both time HE called ME at work. Not when I called him, but when he took the time to dial the numbers and talk to me personally.

She got more attention in the last two day, than she got in the previous two WEEKS. The thread got derailed, because no-one wanted to help without being able to validate her story. WOW I must admit I am all for helping out. Especially after the offers I recieved with my situation. But if the Chief of Police said the dad denied it that is mind blowing. I have no probs with anyone but watch it BV these chicks on the internet can be predators. I had a buddy get dicked over hard by some internet chick that he knew so well.

I have two small girls and would do everything possible, including spencing my last hard-earned penny, to track down whoever did this if it happened to me.
However, things really don't add up in my mind...this originally got posted Oct 23rd, using you as a reference...twice, in fact. Although you were used as a reference, there was no response when several members asked for your verification. No further information was sent until Nov 1st, at which point the only info posted is where we can send money?
Your first post was to say that you don't even know these people, then you attack stkr00 for trying to get verification and say that you know everyone intimately. That doesn't seem strange? And how did stkr00 derail the efforts when he didn't even post until Nov 2nd? It seems it was derailed back on the 23rd.

I'm sorry BV, but I would have expected the chief to say, "Yes, it happened, but due to privacy issues, I can't comment any further." Having several officers as family and close friends, I've heard on more than one occassion how they are trained to deal with the press and people seeking info.

It all comes down to this for me though, this is my friend who I trust , I have been a long time member here so I expected
my vouching to be enough.
Apparantly it is not good enough....fine...maybe I am part of an elaborate scam myself. I dont know anymore but I know that id like to get to the bottom of this now because I dont dig what has happened here at all.
If its a scam then I will aplogize and chalk this up and a good experience for myself...i'll not likely back up anyone again, if it is not then I expect healthy donations from those calling foul.
