Everything was fine, coming out of a corner while riding "spirited" shifted into 6th .. bike jerked a bit, pulled the clutch coasted to a stop, and that was that.
took it to a trusted mechanic, here's what we found. seems the fork somehow got stuck and rubbed itself to failure on the gear.
new trans has been ordered. Bike had 22k (kilometers)
