This whole thing was just sad...a professional police officer should have never squeezed the trigger until they were absolutely certain of the threat...heck even as a former soldier this was taught to us as not everyone of whom we encountered within a battle area was a threat and we couldn't just go killing everything we encountered.

That being said, a court has spoken and killing or shooting other people isn't going to change that decision. Society is based on law and the expectation people will trust law-makers. Once this trust fails and people fall into a lawless ideology, they revert back to the days of the "wild, wild, west.."

Imagine the briefing and safety classes we would have to have done as well as the possibility of court martial should ROE not be followed.

If ROEs are/were not followed in the Canadian Army, swift action is taken and Courts Martial would definitely be the end result. An investigation is launched almost immediately.

ROE seems to be thrown out the window these days. Things will get worse before reform is mandated. Sad times

The old adage of "kick the door in and kill everything that moves" was never the accepted standard during any war unless the enemy was known to be using a position and was still present in that position.

Yet here we are in the 21st century and a professional police force is still using such tactics (I believe many states have suspended the "no knock" warrant entry policy).

Evidence was shown that the police did announce themselves, and fired in self defense. Witness accounts by citizens backed that up. All but one officer waited to fire in self defense. That officer was indicted. This was all presented to the public by a black state attorney general. In other words, the person responsible for carrying out the laws.

You also may or may not be aware that the Taylor family accepted a $12M settlement prior to these proceedings.

I've just read what you are explaining, it was a real eye-opener to me.

People have no business to be out protesting and destroying property or shooting anyone over this.

Welcome to the American agenda. The media will craft the story they want us to see. Check into the guy she was sleeping with. He's such a saint. The cops were there to get a drug dealer. He has since been arrested for it. Breonna Taylor's ex-boyfriend has been arrested and says she had nothing to do with alleged drug trade

Why does this not be part of what the celebrities, the athletes, the voters discuss? Because white cops shot black people is the narrative. Not the fact that nobody knew that Breana Taylor, that wholesome girl on her way to being the next angel, was sleeping with a drug dealer the night the cops showed up. And became another victim in the problems we face in America.

Lesson to the kids. If you sleep with a drug dealer, your life might not go well.

Now we have at least 2 cops shot in Louisville from this.

Lesson 2 kids. If you declare war on the cops, prepare to be considered their enemy.

This will not improve the racial relations in yet another city in America.

Just to clarify you are aware that Breonna’s guy, boyfriend or whatever we calling him Is NOT this Glover guy? Her boyfriend or guy she shared her bed with prior to her death was NOT who the police was looking for. They initially took him into custody that night of the police raid but once all the confusion ended and stories checked he was released.

If you read it you will see that he was the reason the no knock was issued to that address. He later claimed that the cops had bad info for that instance. Which they obviously did since she was with Kenneth Walker that night instead of Glover. Cops blew that one. No knock or not they had bad intel, for that night. She was in her apt where Glover frequented enough they got a warrant based on it.

No, they’re not at all interested in the facts.

Says the guy who can't face facts. A court of law supported by a black atty general saw the facts.

Taylor slept with known drug dealers. The cops acted on bad intel. They paid $12M for that. Her likelihood of living a longer more productive life gets challenged when the cops know a known drug dealer stays in your apt.

Thems the facts. Eventually you will be right. 2020 is almost over so maybe next year.

The cops had a warrant. Once they entered and Walker fired on them all bets were off. I read that only one of several witness said the cops announced themselves. The obvious facts don't support them doing that. Why announce yourself on a no knock warrant? Also why not return a shot and take cover and ask the suspect to give up? Anyway there is no way the cops get convicted of murder with that factset.

But this wasn't about what happened on the scene that night its about so pretty lazy police work. Its also about cops just not caring about collateral damage when they are black. How did the guy who fired his weapon not get a scratch and someone laying in the bed get hit 7 times?

Jane you ignorant slut! “Thems” ain’t the facts. What “court of law”? There was no court of law. And the black AG is just another pubtard. How is it that you can’t understand that policing the police can NOT be fairly and effectively done by the police, whether it be the DA’s office or the AG? They’re all on the same side. Only non partisan independent investigators can do that job properly. So, how many drug dealers did she sleep with? How long ago was she sleeping with “them”? Cops acted on bad intel? And “they” paid for that? Breonna paid for that! The cops didn’t pay for anything. No knock warrants do NOT require notice that cops are about to break down your door. And the EX boyfriend was already in custody. Thems the facts.

Oh I get it now. An educated black man who represents a whole states legal system ain't black if he supports Trump? (Unless you can show me proof of this I will assume you're just being bigotted). I'm pretty sure thems the same words Biden used against another black man. So it's not racist when either of you say it.

And yes unfortunately if you have known relationships with drug dealers, your life can be poorly arranged for you by the cops. It ain't a race thing, it's a fact thing.

She should not have been shot. But it was not done on purpose, or because she was black. I'm sure you want the cops to fry. So burning down a city will do when the courts don't agree with you. That darn black Trump supporter.
