Breonna Taylor

Boy this went downhill.
Nah this is just another Trump bashing thread. For a group that seems so confident of the victory they sure act desperate.

In related news. Didn't the Seattle mayor tell us they were gonna handle things without outside help?

Seattle protests: Officer hit with baseball bat; another police officer ran over a man with his bicycle

Or was it Portland? Or was it Los Angeles? Or Detroit? Or Kenosha? Or .............. Sorry they all run together after awhile.

This whole thing was just sad...a professional police officer should have never squeezed the trigger until they were absolutely certain of the threat...heck even as a former soldier this was taught to us as not everyone of whom we encountered within a battle area was a threat and we couldn't just go killing everything we encountered.

That being said, a court has spoken and killing or shooting other people isn't going to change that decision. Society is based on law and the expectation people will trust law-makers. Once this trust fails and people fall into a lawless ideology, they revert back to the days of the "wild, wild, west.."

If there are people leaving the forum because of threads like this, why are we responding to them?

Dude how dense are you? Trump has opened the door for WS crap from the 50s. Do you think a few months of full employment excuses that?
Hi That is a very wide open statement. So for me not seeing what he has done could you please enlighten me, because I think we are looking at the some things with different colored eyes

Tell me one policy that Trump initiated that got Breana Taylor killed. Blacks were getting killed by cops before Trump, before during and after Obama in both his terms.

Dense is demeaning a black man for applying himself, getting an education, reaching the level of attorney general for a state in our United States. How many accomplish that in this systematic racist country? He was appointed by an outgoing Democrat who currently serves as Governor (man he must have been a total moron compared to how thick you are). If he felt he was going to serve under a racist boss do you think he'd accept that position? I'll say it again. He works for a Democrat governor. Let that sink in a little. I've never met the AG of Kentucky, but I'm feeling pretty safe in saying that I'll go out on a limb and offer he has done more to help his race than you have. It's a really short limb.

You have no idea what you're talking about. Sorry your limb is short though.

we had 2nd grade art today. The kids drew pictures of themselves with masks on. They got to put whatever cool design they could think of on the mask. One kid said there was no marker to make her skin color. She said she's as dark as a black person. That wasn't the least bit controversial to any of the kids, just saying the truth. Sure enough, there was no marker brown enough to make her skin color so I showed her how to pick up some brown with a peach marker and make dark skin color. My multicultural skin color markers are put away somewhere while the construction continues on the art room. I'm hoping all kids will grow up and be just as open about various ethnic backgrounds as these guys are now. Just thought I'd toss that in.

That‘s a good thought, one I had thirty years ago pushing my kids and several other kids including some black kids on a swing set at a local park. One of the lil white girls asked one of the black girls I was pushing, ‘is that your daddy’? That thought has been with generations of good people. Sadly, for far too many years. Whatever prejudices, bigotry and racism kids grow up having is (taught). They’re certainly not born with them.

All my info is pretty much based off this Grand jury indicts 1 police officer in Breonna Taylor raid

So far as I've read, Officer Hankinson is being charged for "blindly" shooting 10 rounds into the apartment/room. It doesn't list where he was in the apartment or when he started shooting. The other two officers were cleared due to self-defense, which makes total sense.
Walker (the BF) acted in self-defense because he didn't know who was breaking into the apartment/room. Realized it was the police and immediately stopped...no problem.
A grand jury (a whole group of people) decided that there wasn't any criminal issue with the self-defense actions of the officers. The one officer who supposedly violated office policies and law was fired and is currently being criminally charged. The victim's family was immediately well compensated. No reason for a mass outrage...

ROE seems to be thrown out the window these days.
100% agree. A lot of the UoF issues I see that are actually problematic are from LEOs completely disregarding training and overstepping their ROE. Even with good shoots, most of the LEOs are popping off 10+ rounds as fast as they can...I've yet to attend a law enforcement class that trained to dump a magazine.

How did the guy who fired his weapon not get a scratch and someone laying in the bed get hit 7 times?
Yep, that's pretty ridiculous and my only real question regarding this. Taylor was the only non-officer shot...Ofc Hankinson fired at least 10x+the other officers shooting, but no one struck Walker. I would really like to know everyone's location for that one to happen...

Her likelihood of living a longer more productive life gets challenged when the cops know a known drug dealer stays in your apt.
Yeah, pretty much...should've picked better friends

I haven't sought out what you're reading. And I don't have a credible link to support it. But on either NBC or ABC there was a statement made by an interview (it was in the background and I wasn't tuned in to find this matter), stating that Breana was used as a human shield. That could explain that. However Walker was a fine upstanding citizen so that can't have been the case.

Maybe you can read it more and see if there is clarity.

...stating that Breana was used as a human shield. That could explain that. However Walker was a fine upstanding citizen so that can't have been the case.
That's was my thought...human shield or just poor positioning by the BF.
I've read two versions of where they were...One: Taylor and BF were at the end of a hallway. Two: Taylor and BF in bed. I find it hard to believe that 3 officers discharged that many rounds at such close range and only struck Taylor. I've been with to crappy shooters, but geez...that's just ridiculous.

Opinion still stands: cops had a reason to be there, cops and BF had the same reason to shoot, should've picked better people to fill your time with, money has already been paid, supposed bad officer is already criminally charged...it's over, next please.

, supposed bad officer is already criminally charged...it's over, next please.

Supposed? Blindly shooting into a room? The question I have is why some officers seem to be more likely to abandon protocol when blacks are involved. We as a society might never get rid of racism but in police enforcement it can't happen.
