BT016 price?

Does that mean they won't sell you the tires unless you get them mounted up there too? I haven't heard anything good about adventure, everyone I know bought anything there won't go back.

No apparently if you bring the brands he carries, he'll install them. made no sense to me.

I don't care for adventure whatsoever either, but they will install the tire on the rim without a question.

coming from Ont we never had problem like this. Dealers in NS are charging crazy tire price even if you did buy them there, as you found out refusing service. I said **** it and bought tire irons and rim protectors and haven't looked back. Have done 4 sets and haven't had any problem ( love the rim protectors)

Milty I am considering that as I am trying to do all the maintenance work myself. Slowly building up tools, but losing a job shortly is not helping the situation at all.. :banghead:

pilot powers are nice tires had a couple sets on my gsxr1k more of a track tire sticky take a couple mins to heat up, cool off fast most i got out of a set was 5k on a bike that weighs 100lbs less with my skinny carcass (160 lbs) riding solo no burnouts just mountain roads and short trips

Well 4200 kms later on my new 09 and the rear tire is done! Belts are showing and time to swap.

Been doin some research and heard lots of great reviews on the BT016.

I mostly do highway and 2 up. Some twisties but mostly touring.

So looking for a tire that will last.

What you guys paying for the BT016?

I have priced it at $183 USD shipped to the door to Canada.

Check this site out: American Motorcycle Tire

Shaft, don't mix your tires. Your bike don't like that and neither will you. If you can't replace both then at least replace the rear with a bridgestone BTO16 or if you want a longer lasting tire, pick up their new dual compound sport/touring tire "BTO23". Great tire that will serve your purpose well giving long life as well as good cornering grip.

This is most likely the reason the dealer refused to mount a Michelin on the rear with a Stone on the front? Wise decision on their part!

cool I was really wondering about the BT023. I will try it next time.

That was not the reason why they wouldn't mount it. I was not bringing them my bike. Just the rim.. they had beef with my Michelin tire.

Dudes here carves corners with 021s. I'll always spring for true performance 016 cos I mainly use my Bus for weekend romps & nil touring.

I'm happy to see I'm not the only one who has a beef with Michelin tires!

I was looking online and found some good ideas to break down a tire off a rim.

anyone know where to pickup some rim protectors and spoons that won't scratch the rims?

Also looking to pickup a hand balancer and some sticky weights.
