Bummed out

I got a brand new bike still with 2 miles on it sitting in the garage. I have a stricture in my throat, can't hardly swallow along with abdominal distress probably due to gall stones, my blood pressure is up high, and I feel dizzy. It's about 105 here and staying too hot to ride. Going to DR Wednesday to get set up to be knocked out and scoped. Man, I hope I don't have throat cancer! All I can do is look at my new beautiful state-of-the-art Hayabusa and can't ride. Do you feel me, anyone??

Sucks to have got your brand new shiny bike only to have it sit...the more important side to this story is to make sure you are OK....the bike is just a thing....

However, we have a thing up here that keeps us off our bikes for up to 6 months...it's called winter.

My sympathies. I had a large stone in the bile duct which required surgery and then the stones in the bladder were too large to pass so they removed the bladder. Several surgeries mostly to address the infection that followed. Get to it ASAP and good luck! No throat issue though so that must be coincidental to the bladder problem.

Ya I feel ya man, I just crashed a few weeks back and I'm in no hurry to do any real riding even though I know I could now. I guess you just follow the path life lays out for you. You have some say in how it goes but after all is said and done, what will be will be. You're doing the right thing by getting in to the doctor.

Well, I no bum out no mo!! Broke him in today Motoman way. Put 80 miles on it and I love it! Maybe it's just me, but this gen3 rides much smoother than the previous gens for sure. The clutchless shifting is a little bumpee, but about the same as the bmw1000rr. It has a whir or a cool whine at about maybe 5-6k rpm sounds like turbo winding up and sounds fantastic. I was able to use my magnetic bag and put it on the backside where it's metal and simply rested my belly on it some, which worked well. The handlebar height is definitely better than other gens but may need to be heightened to be really comfy. I already installed my 44mm lower pegs. They are cheap and I used them on my gen2 and work great with gen3. I weigh 250lbs and have no problem with the pegs holding me up. No need to change out the whole rearset. Here's the link. As far as my health, I'm doing better, and thanks to all the well-wishers that responded.

You are feeling better then? I'm glad and I'm glad you did a moto man break in too!! That's so much more fun! and I'll do it with any new bike I get i the future.

I haven't ridden again yet. Just too busy with other crap and the busa needs to have winter work finished and it's August. I made a complete recovery and the bike I crashed, well...it looks hopeful it may run again someday
