mine made a noise similar to that when I first got it. I thought I threw the chain. It wasn't the chain and it has never did it again in 6000 plus miles. I was accelarating out of first and shifted into second thats when I heard the noise. Almost like it was in between gears and trying to force its way into second. Or when you try to put a car in reverse on a manual tranny and it makes that god awful grinding noise.
Let me ask you this; when you pulled the clutch in did the noise stop?

I would talk to the trackday oraginziers also. Your obviously a regular at trackdays. They might give you a credit to use in the future.

Glad it wasn't worse. Dealerships, in my opinion, just keep sinking and sinking. I wish I had the tools to do everything myself.
