Burn a Quaran...behead a non-believer...sounds reasonable...

It's not traitorous just because his beliefs differ from yours. I do think that the Muslim religion certainly IS the worse of two evils, however... THIS is what happens when you introduce religion into government.

I don't think we should be a muslim OR christian nation... just a nation.

Both sides piss me off, and make me sick.

THIS IS WHAT A TRAITOR LOOKS LIKE TO MOST OF US.

If this doesn't both piss you off and make you sick then you're a lost cause.......
In
1952
President Truman
established one day a year as a
"National Day of Prayer."
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In
1988
President Reagan
designated the
First Thursday in May of each year as
the National Day of Prayer.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In June
2007
(then)
Presidential
Candidate Barack Obama
declared that the USA
"Was no longer a
Christian nation."
---------------------------------------------------------------
This year
President Obama
canceled the
21st annual National Day
of Prayer ceremony
at the White
House under the ruse
Of "not wanting to offend anyone"

------------------------------------------------------------------------

BUT... on September 25, 2009
from 4 AM until 7 PM,
a National Day of Prayer
FOR THE MUSLIM RELIGION
was Held on Capitol Hill,
Beside the White House.
There were over 50,000 Muslims
in D.C. that day.

HE PRAYS WITH THE MUSLIMS!

I guess it Doesn't matter
if "Christians"
Are offended by this event -
We obviously
Don't count as
"anyone" Anymore.

The direction this country is headed
should strike fear in the heart of every Christian,
especially knowing that the
Muslim religion believes that if Christians cannot be
converted, they should be annihilated.

This is not a Rumor -

I'm a Christian, but I'll go along with that. Just remember you're watching the U.S become a Muslim nation before your eyes. That means their laws for themselves here. You want to see women opressed and pretty much owned as a husband's property. That's what the Muslims want here now, just one of the many crazy things they expect.

So let me answer this as best I know how... Sometimes we forget that as Christians we know who wins. The story has already been written we just have to play it out and make sure that we do the right things... It's absolutely perfectly normal to want to deal with things ourselves but Keith I don't care if I'm out number 200 million to one I know where I will spend eternity, its been promised to me. Through Grace I am saved... As simple as that! I think that often times we live our lives just like we post on this forum, ever just typed out what you were thinking at that time? Ever gone back and looked and told yourself that you could have done it better if I had just slowed down a little?

I see prayer a lot like that, we should drop to our knees and 1st thank God for his mercy and Grace. Then we should seek his guidance and direction, wisdom and patience. Are you really concerned about being outnumbered when you are being obedient to the creator of the universe?

There are times we will have to go to war, there is a time we will have to kill but it should be as the last resort, prayer should lead us daily....

There are many other faiths out there but I think that regardless of what yours is prayer and peace would come before hatred and killing...

I do think that we must stand up for what we believe but we live in a country where freedom rings, not everyone is as aligned in values and beliefs anymore and that is causing a problem. In any event burning the Quran is going to do nothing more than keep the hate going, if you pray about it and you still think burning the Quaran is the right thing then go for it...

I actually agree with all of that. It just frustrates me to see America being handed over.

you cant protect people from becoming muslim or keep them out by making the us a christian nation. it was never intended to be that way. having a day of prayer recognized by the gov can also be the first step down a slippery slope as well.

Yes, but Muslims want their religeous belifes and laws made law here, along with various countries in Europe, Australia, and the world over. They are accomplishing what the Koran teaches them. Make everyone Muslim, or kill them. That IS what their religeon teaches.
This is a free country, and I personally don't care what people belife, that's their own right to freedom here. As Muslim laws are slowly allowed to creep in, that freedom slips away.

I could be mistaken, I have been every day for the last 42 years...

BUT

the day of prayer wasn't directed towards any one religion was it, anyone with a religious belief was called to pray for the healing of our country. If your an athiest why would you care, right? This isnt about the govt being in religion, it isnt about one faith in this country but it is about a president leading a people... There are far more people in this country that believe there is a God than their isnt...

Court rules NDP is constitutional, but
government declaration of NDP isn't

then why is there a problem with that, i didnt have a problem one way or another. im sure someone that likes to argue can defend either side. i dont care enough, just saying that maybe we can look at things from different peoples perspective and be open to interpretation instead of categorizing everyone who disagrees with our personal beliefs the enemy.

are there any muslim laws here?

Muslims want their religeous laws passed as law for them here(which will mean everyone) It's coming.
If they would just live under this country's laws and stop crying to have them changed to suit their belifes I wouldn't care.
I have nothing more to add, I should know better than to get involved in religeous debates.
It hardly matters, China has all the money and will be running everything before it's over.

To my understanding that's how it was... and that's fine.

I didn't hear about it, until now. If what was stated previously about the muslim prayer day led by obama actually happend.. i do have a huge problem with that.

Also, I may not be religious, but don't get me wrong... I AM all for federal holidays!!!

Terry Jones did this for his own personal benefit and will be forgiven just like the rest of us. What an idiot. I wonder if he will even think about those that died as a result of his actions ?

Prayers sent :please:

I'm curious about what laws have been passed in this country that are pro muslim extremists? I say extremist because there seems to be a large number of people that are lumping all Muslims as one group, which is wrong. Most of the Muslims I know are anti shariah law and extremists, and against the mistreatment of women and children. In fact, that is why they moved to the USA so they could live in a free society and celebrate their beliefs with out persecution.

As far as I'm concerned live and let live. This killing each other for something like religion blows my mind.

Kinda settles the answer on the "peaceful religion" doesn't it?

Five killed as Afghans protest Quran burning - World news - South and Central Asia - Afghanistan - msnbc.com

Kinda makes me want to burn one too, with a good rifle nearby and play 'whack a mole' at whomever pops up....and no, i'm not advocating violence, but we may have to be prepared to fight fire with fire...

I'm ready for a national "Burn the Quaran" Day...a national "FU" to those who seek to destroy the USA.

Not that I'm saying the Pastor in FL was right, but I also think we are going to have to stop assuming that we are playing on a level field. Our own freedoms that we offer to all are being used against us.

This makes no sense.. You want to fight fire with fire when you're the one starting the fire to begin with? Keep in mind this happened in another country where people who had nothing to even do with this burning ended up losing their lives over it. So you can sit there burning books all day with your gun by your side while people in another country get killed for it. Good luck sleeping at night. And I noticed this growing trend on the sarcasm that people post when they say "peaceful religion" followed by some comments. It seems to be a popular trend around whatever forums are talking about this subject. If this religion is as violent as people think it is, then the however many Muslims there are in this country wouldn't be sitting around living our lives like we normally have been, right? My imam (of all people), who happens to be the one who actually went to talk to this so called pastor, would be out killing people, no? Like I said in the previous burning thread some time ago, you can burn all the qurans in the world. It wouldn't matter. There are millions of people who have memorized every single letter, dot, comma, etc. inside from cover to cover. Hell, there are Muslims who memorized entire texts from other holy books as well. Go on a burning spree! But, don't expect it to stop the crazies from doing crazy things.

And to sixpack, I think you need to lay off on those Christian infomercials that get aired on the BET channel. That stuff can mess you up.

A book is a book, which is still just a book. What Man does with the words within the book is what is important. In my humble opinion, there are plenty of extremists in any and all religions that pervert the words written within their chosen book. To label ALL Muslims as whacko extremists is just as wrong as labeling ALL Baptists, Catholics, Methodists, etc., etc., as whacko extremists.

We are just mere mortals......we can misinterpret the directions for programming a remote control, how can we handle the words of God or Allah?

why cant we all just get along?

Because Religion has Little to Nothing to do with this. It's all about POLICIAL POWER. Religion is the Excuse, Power and the Control of the Population is the reason. And don't dismiss just plain Tribalism or let it confuse you. It's MUCH more powerful than 99% of Westerners even understand :beerchug:

:rofl::rofl:Doesn't matter that the majority of Muslims in this country are peaceful, it's the radicals influencing our own useless government that bother me.
And I turn off BET after ComicVeiw!

I don't stay up to date with the news so I really can't say much about this but, if people are free to practice whatever religion they want here, I see no reason to change that if that is currently happening. Not sure why the govt. would even do that in the first place ???

Delgado, I'm realllly NOT about to go burn a Quaran. I've got better sense than that; and it's not part of MY religion to do it. What I'd like to see is your Imam and other US Muslim leaders on TV denouncing the murder of UN employees for a admitted cooky preacher BURNING a BOOK on the OTHER side of the world, with the same fervor as they try to prevent it!. To put it in the same vein, it would be about as stupid as someone beheading Muslims here because someone burned a bible in Afghanistan ...

I'm glad to denounce the kook pastor, and don't think his actions are Christian in any way....but I don't see moderate Muslims doing the same here, or in the Muslim world. Double standard.

I wonder if he will even think about those that died as a result of his actions ?

um... no disrespect do3... i think ur cool and all that... but this strikes me as what they want us to think/feel about the situation... those people died from the ignorant, violent, pompus a-holes that decided they had the right to chose who lives and dies on some point as arbitrary as where they were born!... not anyone to blame but the people who perpetuate the ideals and ignorance that the muslim religion teaches... no i am not an expert on muslim/islam... but i think that at this point, i really dont need to be... actions speak louder than words and all... they are WRONG and BAD and... and i hate to place this label as widely as i'm about to... and EVIL!

ok- 'nuff said!
