Busa Hauler / Barber Track Day

Looks great Randy. I cant tell you the number of times I have been asked why I brought a drag bike to a track day. Normally by lunch, I have a few people wandering over to where I am pitted to see what I have done to make the bike handle so much better.
Kev, you are Hayabusa royalty bro!

Anyone who has doubted you and your machine at first glance has always stood corrected later on!

See ya in a few weeks my man...

Randy, I'd love to see that trailer in person, say in the paddock at Miller Motorsports Park Labor Day weekend.

Do you have a closeup of the helmet rack? Did you make them? Looks like you had a great time. How did you mount your spare tire and wheels?
Yep Hal, I made them....

Hang on and I'll go take some close ups.
Cost me $17 a piece and they double as leather hangers..... I swear, poverty creates creativity every time.

I'll go take a couple of close ups and post em here directly sir....

Here are the helmet racks:

Made them of S40 PVC.
Painted them black with good old Rustoleum.
Padded them with typical PVC tubular foam insulation.
Shot them to the walls with conduit clamps from Home Depot's electrical dept.
They actually work really well, protect the helmets and serve as a place to hang gear too.

Made some cross members underneath to secure the lid to the rack thingy with the chin strap.

Again, cost about $17 bux a piece to glue up.
Got the idea from an RV supply catalog that had a similar version in aluminum for a cool $130...

The helmet in the pic is a small and has some room around it.
Larger lids fit a little tighter but I still left room so that the surface of the lid dont rub on the foam and wear off the finish.

Hope this helps!

Once you have it, pull it down here, yes, put the bike IN IT first.....

It will take two days to doll it up, you and I can drink beer and Dawn will handle the mods, heck, now that I have shown her the ropes she might be able to handle it in one day!

Yeah man, been gearing up for it since January, next is going to be Jennings GP in Florida.

Hope this helps!

Hal, I did a REAL rustic job of fastening the wheels to the walls.

Just used some screws and strips of sheet metal. I'd really hate to muck up all the flash and panache here with a close up of that engineering!

I looked for the thing at Home Depot that you said you used and thought it went to the back of a door or something. After wandering around like a homeless person in the store looking for anything that would jump out at me..... they finally ran me out!

I have some ideas for a better system but am coming up pretty blank so far...

I'll have you know I just made my fiance come look at the picture of your wife helping out.

I told her she'd do that if she loved me!!!!

Hope this helps!

I actually got the ones I used at Lowes. I'll pick you some up and bring them to the bash if you would like.
