Busa is done, went down w/fiancee....

Damm, bro. I hope you both heal up fast. I also hope it doesn't sour you on riding for too long.

Glad you're here to tell us about it. That's good to know, for sure.

Please pass on my best wishes to your lady.

Hope you both heal quickly. Glad it wasn't worse.

I know you're not thinking about it now, but we have the same bike and if you would like some stock pieces I've taken off to put on for now, I would be glad to give them to you. I'm not sure what all is broken, but I have a stock windscreen, front signals, rear signals, and dogbones if any of that would be of use to you.

How about you other brothers and sisters, any takeoffs collecting dust in the garage? Ebay takes WAY second place when a brother's ride is down....

I feel so bad for you both. I know you feel really bad for what happened but it could have been so much worse! Thank God your both ok and not in the hospital! Heal up then worry about the bike!

Sorry to hear both your baby's got hurt

hope they both return to original condition soon

Scott - can you make a list of all the parts you will need to return the bike to it's original condition?

Take your time - tend to the first lady first...

Not sure what to say other than count your blessings...

When I picked up my Busa in 2003, 6 months before that the salesman told me some guy came in, bought a Busa. the very next week him and his fiancee were on the bike, he pulled a wheelie and she came off.

Hit her head and she died right then and there.. and they WERE wearing helmets. mandatory in the California.

Sounds like you are beating yourself up bad enough, so I wont put any salt in the wound.. just dont ever forget how you feel now and use that to not make the same mistake in the future..

As I have no doubt you are feeling the worse for your fiancee.. us guys can take pain, scars are just war wounds.. but must of us would rather die than to know we hurt someone we loved..

Glad you are both still hear to talk about it....

I was down at the shop Friday picking up an oil filter. Three folks all bought Busa's the same week. Salesman told me then that I was the only one still running. Other two had crashed out. Fingers crossed. Glad to hear ya'll weren't hurt any worse. Get well soon.

Dan

Sorry to hear, and prayers that you both heal soon. Let us know if there's anything we can do to help.

Don't beat yourself up accidents happen and what does not kill you makes you stronger old saying but so very true. Prayers for you and Amy thank God you are both alive and able to be there for eachother.

thank you all for your thoughts n prayers...n i dont care if i get bashed here-as long as one guy stops n reads what is said n decides next time to put full gear on, I can live with that. I cant live without Amy...

She's actually taking this all really well...I'll know better tomorrow how much muscle tissue dmg she has-not much swelling yet. She owns a cleaning biz and one office we do is a skin care clinic, so Monday i will stop in to see what they have to help her wounds heal faster. I know she feels a lil better now because I gave her "the Ring"...wasn't supposed to give it to her till next week, but I got hit with the thought 'what if she wasnt here to get it' after they loaded her in the 'bus; as soon as we got home I dug it out-her face lit up, we both cried some more, but she's happy to have it on her hand early:)

Need to say a special thanks to all my brothers who helped out today-Dan, Mike, Jon, Larry, and my mom n sister jess-
wouldnt have gotten thru today without all your help. I made one cell call to Dan and my bike was getn picked up- one call to my guys at the dealership n it had a home for the weekend till I can assess the damage. One to mom n she was at the scene in minutes to support us both, followed to ER n she brought us home. I feel blessed to have these people in my corner when the **** hits the fan.

I also appreciate all your support here guys- GS, Big G, Rubb, Thrasher, usn04, and everyone else. That is why I became a part of this .org-I saw the comraderie n brotherhood that was abound in this board, and I knew I wanted to be a part of this great group of people.

Not sure how bad the bike is-Monday I will go to dealership to make an assessment whether bike is worth repairing. M boys who picked it up said its probly in the $3k range-frame n forks looked ok. Just broke bits n pieces. I will make a list n add it up...then decide what I want to do.

Have a safe weekend folks-hope this post saves just one more person from getn hurt like this. That was my only purpose with this post.

Prayers for you and Amy.. wishing you both a speedy recovery..

I am impressed with your acceptance and your attitude.. hats off to you..

We all make mistakes.. just part of life.. trust me.. I have done my share and then some of things I regret.. probably have done a few things twice (I have been told I am hard headed, imagine that

BigDiesel sounds like you an fiancee may have hobbled away with some eye openings on life, some thing good out of it anyway. A bunch didn't. Bad bike stuff all over the web, bikes and sudden stops! Kinda started in PA. Maybe the first good weather some had? and got a lot to let loose?

Glad to hear everyone is "on the mend"! Events like this makes one realize just how precious life really is. Makes little sh## seem unimportant. Believe me..it's all small sh##.

Just PM if you need anything. As far as parts I have some stuff lying around and you are welcome to it. Regroup and let us know your intentions.

Best regards.
