My thoughts and healing vibrations are flying cross-atlantic right now. You have us all by your side in thought if not in person.

Be strong Dave.

Don't like hearing things like this! Hang in there, Dave! Prayers are sent.

Thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery... and to Dave's family and friends~

My thoughts and prayers go out to Dave and his family.

Never have I interacted with such a great group of compassionate people as I have here on this board. I think with a support group like this many of adversities can and will be overcome.

I pray for Dave's speedy recovery and If there is anything he or his family need, I as well as a great number of members of this family will be there to support them.

God Speed.

Joe

Thoughts with his family and friends as well...

Thanks for the updates Andy...

The last note I got had a strange title.

 Things are good.

Well, that goes to show ya,the strength of an' Irishman.

Daves up, awake, out of surgery.Of course very groggy. He was in surgery for 12 hours, mostly working on the hand. The good news there is,he'll get to keep the hand...the bad news, he has lost two fingers. The surgeons apparantly worked miracles in saving most of his hand.   One of his legs is broken, but thankfully did not require surgery.  His wrist didn't do so well. Doctors have inserted two pins to hold that together.  He has torn ligaments in his shoulder.  They laced his head up the back with twelve stitches...thankfully,there is no skull fracture.

Here's where a man's true form is revealed.

He told Saddletramp to tell us not too worry about get well cards an' such and that he knows how we work here at the Org,and he won't accept any donations. He would however be open to receiving a note or two via email.

Get this...if anybody is thinking about donations,Dave said he'd rather have them push the support button at the top of this page.

This next part is in Dave's own words(as told to SaddleTramp),I left it that way because I the love the Irish tone it has.

...if this is so send email instead!! BUT HOLD THE THOUGHT OF SENDING A CARD HE KNOW'S WHAT SOME GUYS ARE LIKE WHEN IT COMES TO DOANATING THEY HAVE ALL BIG HEARTS BUT SOMETIMES NOT BIG WALLETS AND THINK THAT BY DOANATING TWO OR THREE EUROS TO A CAUSE JUST WONT MAKE A DIFFERENCE!! BUT IT WILL SO HERE IS WHAT HE'D LIKE ANYBODY WHO HAS THE THOUGHT OF SENDING A GET WELL CARD. TO LOOK UP AT THE TOP OF THE SCREEN (LEFT HAND SIDE) YOU'LL SEE A SUPPORT BUTTON!! (PUSH IT)     SEND YOUR TWO OR THREE DOLLARS TO THE DAD OF OUR CLUB HOUSE SO HE CAN GET THE ROOF FIXED ON OUR SITE TO STOP THE RAIN COMING IN.

Fresh outa surgery, and man still has a sense of humour, and good thoughts for all of us.

Thats it for now....Dave you're the BEST.

  My deepest respect... Rubbah.

Wow, he's truly one tough guy and very thoughtful...

Lots of healing ahead, but the news is so much better than I was fearing yesterday...keep the positive thoughts going Dave. We're all thinking about you!!

I'm a manly man, but that brought tears to my eyes. Good on you Dave and God Bless.
What is his email address??

Great news..Glad to hear Dazz is on the mend and out of danger.

He'll bounce back soon enough when he's better...

I sat with my heart pounding this morning, couldn't read this fast enough. It is a weird feeling, knowing that you want to help a friend who is in need. That feeling turns to anger because you know your friend is hurting and you feel helpless.
I sit here trying to get past the anger, but it's not easy.

God Bless our friend and his family. Hope for the absolute best on his recovery.

Andy- now let us know what we CAN do, for Dave.

That's great news Rub. It was looking a lot worse late last night. Two fingers compared to what could have been...it's good to know his family still has him.

Any word on how the T-bone transpired? Did some ignorant cage driver just space out in their can?

that's amazing, glad to hear that he's doing good, and was able to keep all that was important to him. His life and family. stay strong, Dave.
Tony

Glad to hear he is out of danger

Sad to hear he lost 2 fingers, but I know he will not let that get him down.

I think we should all wait for Saddletramp or Dave to tell the accident story. I'm sure in a couple days Dave will be posting on the board
