Cagers honking their horns!

Here’s the situation your riding down a road (usually a two lane back road during the day) minding your own business going the speed limit. Then a cage going the other way lays on the horn for about 5 seconds as they go past. Now, I tried to chase down the last guy who did this and he almost killed himself trying to get away. What up with this? Doesn’t happen everyday but a few times a year for sure.

Do they hate bikers?
HD fans?
Haters?
What?

Personally I wouldn't go chasin anybody down for anything on my bike. Too many crazies out there and you never know what they're thinking. If they feel threatened and are packin...who knows what they might do. I think it best just to let it go.

I always thought they were greeting me. Except here, its more like 2 taps of the horn (beep, beep) as opposed to them laying on it.

Don't do that in Flordia ... they have that new law ... shoot first ask questions later ... get off with a verbal warning.

Are you one of those guys who rides around with the high beam always on? If so, that's your answer. It may get you noticed more but not always in a good way from cagers or fellow bikers. Your low beam may also be adjusted too high. The Busa's low beam has that odd lens that cuts the light off abruptly. I feel I've got mine adjusted to prefection but once in a while it'll piss some cager off at night.

Maybe if you stay outta the oncoming lane they will quit honking?

Hell Maybe they are white and simply living up to the Term "Honky"?

I know, maybe your actually a hot lil' blonde and your rollin around topless??? ?

Never had it happen, in over 12 years of street riding, not once. Got me Stumped...

We get it over here in Aus in the traffic from the lane beside me. Usually it is to give you a thumbs up and all friendly, a nice shiny busa is loved by all. I crap my daks everytime. Life flashing before eyes, hold on tight and wait for the impact. So far, all false alarms, knock on wood.

If you asked me i wud never cave in to road rage cause you never know who you're dealing with and whos carrying a gun!!!!
Thats just my thoughts, and i'm a VERY firm believer in"staying in my happy place".Life is too short to let things get to you.
Just my .02 cents

To me it's a sign of respect.
You are cool dude on a cool bike and I must acknowledge it.
So I honk, because I am a lame a$$ cage driver and can't wave.
