Clorox...is that like bleach.

If you want to go fast in twisties, get a Honda 1000 RR, not the R1...  Because it is better still. -Rip
BS, the Honda is an overweight underpowered pig. The ZX 10 on the other hand woulkd be good competition.
BS?  I think not...  Allow me to retort...

Let me start by saying that I am not a Honda fan...  As a matter of fact, I have a couple of buddies who would swear I hate Honda.

That said...  The honda is lower power than the other liters (except of course the GSX-R) and weighs more.  But it new suspension is BOMB!  It out handles ALL of the competition according to several professional racers and pretty much every magazine available this month.

I was not trying to say, "go buy a Honda..."  I was only trying to get the goat of the Yama guy.  Because, I figure being the erudite fella he appears to be, he would know that the Honda out handles the Yam!

If I had to pick one, I would prolly go Kawa right now, only because the new tank design allows me to tuck my tummy in very nicely.  And it is WAY more comfy than the Yam.

Anyway, I am content with my bus.  If and when I get another bike, it will be the GSX-R750...  Which I plan to race on the track once I burn my SV to Hell!

On that note...

Peace bro,
Rip

Maybe we should make that same list with Moto GP racers...

hmmm... Silence??

Don't get me wrong HO (nice acronym...)

I dig you and I feel you are entitled to your own opinion as am I... As I stated earlier, I don' like Honda. I was just mentioning something to try and egg-on bleach-boy (BB for short).

I think arguing this point is silly, since they are all sooo fast and close.

Again I fall back to my original idea of: if you wanna be fast at everything except twisties, get a busa. Not to mention if you wanna be comfortable for a 2+ hour ride.

Please bury the hatchet in your next post or two and let's be freinds again. I think we will hav'ta agree to disagree on this one... However, feel free to throw in a couple of more punches. My hands are behind my back...

The reason I picked the AMA super stock class is becuase those are the closest to the machines we can buy off the show room floor.

Anyway, I agree, it is silly to argue the point. This years crop of liter bikes is incredible, even the outdated Gix 1K

BTW, the acronym comes from an encounter with a Chevy pick up. Needless to say, he won.

All right I will take my stock Grreen Dragon and do a roll on letting them ahead by 6 bike lenghts before I start and finish ahead at the end of 9/10's of a mile.

Troll or no...  Let's settle this now.

With equal riders (this is VERY important) the R1 will smoke the busa on the twisties...  PERIOD.  SMOKE!

However, the 180 crank HP is also with ram air...  Many would argue that being so much lighter the difference in torque doesn't matter.  Perhaps they are correct.  However, that weight is one of the busa's gifts when it comes to launching.  You can dump it and get a very strong jump without looping.  Also, the lower center of gravity and longer wheelbase all add up to better jump too.

Top speed??  Aerodynamics speak for themselves.

Let's sum up...  Twisties, R1 wins...  Everything else, busa is KING!  If you want to go fast in twisties, get a Honda 1000 RR, not the R1...  Because it is better still.  For everything else, including being the baddest dude on road, get a busa.

Oracle, you are the man. Any who, I am sure you all know these posts drive me crazy cause I like them both. But I gotta tell ya, they don't bother me any more. I have found my inner peace i guess. However my 04 R1 comes in I will be open to discussion about the differences. I have had a deposit on that pos since October. Tired of waiting.

And Oracle just for conversation why did I pick the R1 over the Cbr? It looks hotter, waaaay hotter, and even though the honda MAY end up being the better bike the 954rr kinda dissapointed me( my buddy has one) so I am not that anxious to have the honda. Although I had a 98 900rr that I liked alot. Another thing that dissappointed me about the new honda is at the shows they would not let you get near it, like they are too good for us kinda. Buuuuuuut that electric damper is tits. My old R1 I loved and I mean loved so it's an easy choice for me. Now on to the kawi, I think that thing is bad ass, it feel stiffer and more dedicated to it's purpose than the R1. Bad ass if you ask me, but I still want the r1.

Oh and hey Monster speedfreak, this sure looks like a troll to me too, but I know of no one by the name of clorox at the R1 forum. I am suprised it took so long for someone to come start some crap. LOL

Bra,

I am with ya on the R1's looks. That is one bad lookin' mofo!

I also agree about Honda not letting us near their new toy at the show... That sucked.

I can't wait for you to get the R1, 'cause I wanna hear all about it.

I still believe all of the liter bikes (even the GSX-R which I still love) kick ass!

If you ask me, Here is what Suzuki needs to do to step up to the plate in a MAD way!

Make the Hayabusa a 1400 (essentially the big bore kit) then, strip 100 lbs off the old one and make it a 1300 GSX-R. After taking off the weight, they could shorten the wheelbase and beef up the brakes! Not to mention making much better computer controlled suspension and steering damper.

That would be one badassed track bike! I would by a GSX-R 1300 tomorrow. Not to mention a Busa 1400.

Hmmm... Maybe I should work for 'zuki as a designer!

Glad to see we R buds again (not like we ever stopped).

Sorry to hear about the truck "incident." I am happy you are still walkin', talkin', and ridin'!

Dude, I love the name of your racing team! I am jealous... That name ROCKS!

Do you race?? CCS, WERA, something else??

What is your race bike?

Holy crap. If suzuki would do that, I would have a boner when I went to the dealer to buy one.

Endurance raced CMRA/CCS (Texas) the last couple years. We came in 3rd in class in 02, and first in class in '03. Right now I have a '03 R6 for a track bike. Unfortunately I had to give up racing this year. Too busy with my company.
