Ride on it to get to tire shop and have it replaced. There is nothing like having that feeling the plug will come out when you riding around a corner, just makes you really unsure.
REPLACE IT, you could save a couple bucks ($150) and possibly die or cut out your morning double mocholate at starbucks for a couple of weeks to save up for a new tire. I won't risk injury to save money. A good tire is like good gear, would you wear a helmet that was missing a chunk on the side?
I just put a set of Avons on my bike and ran over a nail. Dealer suggested plugging, so thats what I did. 3000mi. of highway and Deals Gap, no problems. The down side was $70 to take tire off bike, plug, then re-balance.
