i will put it this way my also rides and i would never put a plug or patch on mine so sure as heck would not put one on my wifes. how would i feel if she got hurt because i didnt want to buy a new tire? how could i live with myself?be safe and keep the rubber side down.

I've pluged a few but I'm not comfy with a plug. However, I have patched a pile over the years and never had a problem. They now make patches with a plug attached that works wonderfully well. It fills the hole as well as places a patch over the area. Great idea someone came up with and it WORKS!

I'm guilty of repairing rear tires, but if it's close I'd replace it.

I have seen new tires plugged or patched and last for the life of the tread. Personally I would never take the chance of a high speed pressure loss. I always changed the tire. Better safe than sorry and the price of a tire is not worth my life or safety. Just my :2cents:

Plugged a rear tire on my Gixx 750 and rode the hell out of it. Never an issue. Guess I got lucky. ???
