I forgot these.

I went to high school with Chris Conway - Played for the Dallas Cowboys.

I met Scotty Pippin at a bar in Madison, IL. when he played for the Bulls.

Hawaii,
At least I posted pics. That's more than I usualy do. Besides it will stop hurting once the pain stops.

Cache,
I all ready thought of that. I may be a mechanical designer but when it comes to anything "artsy" I am SOL.

Good night,

Steve

Most of the famous people that I hung around with are dead. That is not good. John Mutusik of Oakland Raider fame went to Oak Creek High school with me. He was a great guy a missed. Chris Farley lived about4o minutes from me in Madison Wisconsin, I got to meet him twice.
I met JFK when I was very young in a crowd. Met Bobby Kennedy at a rally in LA. I met Ted Kennedy out here on the East Coast when he was looking for votes. My uncle developed the first auto zoom lens for a now gone Argus camera company. He latter went on to laser technology for the Pentagon. He is not doing well. My Grandpa on my Mom's side was in the Boxer rebellion in China. I was taught in College by one of the Land Sat satellite developers and one of the first U-2 camera developers, who passed away a few years back. I think I will stay away from famous people for a while. Herman E. Thurow (Grandfather), Lester Thurow,(Distant Uncle lomg story) James E. Thurow (Uncle) and Herbert E.Thurow (Father) David E. Thurow (Brother) all had records of very very high I-Q's. I think they used it all up and did not leave me much or I just don't give a damn about it. Hey live moves on and I am not finished yet. So I will report back when I am news worthy.

Forgot to mention:
When I was in high school in Arkansas and Clinton was governor, he visited my shcool twice and took the time to visit every class. I shook hands with him on two occasions in high school.

Bill Clinton

I've trained with Jeff Speakman ("The Perfect Weapon")
and James Sang Lee ("Lethal Weapon 4")
Kick boxing champion Dave Cummings  (Thai Boxing)
I was interviewed on the local news while touring a local college campus.  (channel 2 Betsy Bruce interview)

I have pic's of me with Jeff Speakman and James Sang Lee.

I think that's it.

Steve
Cool pics Tree. Where the hell is Madison, IL? Do you mean WI? Or is there a small town in Southern IL?

Every person makes a difference. Most of time you just never thing about the things you have done. I have a lot of years but the biggest thing I did was to help make my sons. all 3 of them. You make a big diffeence here also.

Was hiding out reading the newspaper in the rec therapist’s office at work and Don King walked in, WTF. He was there for a pep talk with the little law breakers (juvenile corrections). Met a lot of big time alpine ski racers, who are they right? Kinda like Hawaii meeting Robbie Nash (who)?

Thinker,

Madison is a small town in IL by East St. Louis. Stages was the best bar around. It was right beside the staging lights for the drag strip.

Busahigg,

I've been out since '89. Did 3 years 14 weeks. 10th Mountain Division. Too much yeah me screw you, and f*&k up move up, for me to stay in. I don't kiss any bodys but, and I tend to tell the wrong people what I think of them. From my platoon sgt. to the company CO. The only person in the company that had a higher GT score than I did was the guy working on his Masters degree. My SQT tests were constisently the highest non-NCO in the company also. Needless to say I pissed in alot of Cherios. I did make my E-5 while I was in. I was never given the rank because I didn't have 90 days before ETS.

Hero wise? I did save a small town out side of Fort Drum (Antwerp, NY) from being blown up by mortar fire. Our mortar platoon was laid in on the wrong heading, 180 degrees out. I brought this to the attention of my platoon Sgt. (complete moron) where upon I was told. "If you think you can do it better, do it yourself." I then went out and re-zeroed the aiming head (pointed the transit due north) and re-laid in the gun line. Thus preventing the destruction of several buildings/houses.

As far as the hair cut goes. I had long hair for quite a while after I got out. In fact I basicaly had a mohawk that was half way between my shoulder blades. But the military cut is easier to take care of, and I get no hastle from bosses at work. It's also much cooler in the summer with the helmet on.

Later,

Steve

Have I saved a life? yes...... Have I done some things that have made a difference? yes.... Am I a special person? No.... I'm just like most of you... In the right place at the right time, and if you were there you would have done much the same I would bet. But you know somthing, I had a person come up to me and told me how I changed his son's attitude and in the long run saved him from making a mess of his life. You know I did not remember this at first. It was something I did then forgot. My point is this ... You need not be a hero to save someone, to change the course of a life and to make things better. You all touch the lives of the people around you and the people you touch you may not have known you touched. If you live your life the best you can you will make a difference in just the way you live. You don't need a front page of a paper or a 15 min. spot on TV just live your life and hold your head high... Because if you do this you have made a difference with out question... I know you have made a difference.. you can't be alive and not.

I got a real one this time. When I was in highschool we were at lunch when I noticed a panic look on one of my friends face. When I asked him if he was ok he just shook his head no. He was chocking on a chicken nugget. So I performed the Heimlich maneuver on him and he spit nugget and milk all over the place. I don't know how was more freaked out him or me.
