On a related topic, waterless handcleaner, like GoJo (the non-abrasive kind), is GREAT for getting the grease off your rear wheel. Smear it on the rim dry (NO WATER), wait a minute and scrub a little with a brush. If you really want to get an-l, wipe it with a dry rag, smear some more GoJo around the tough spots, and then rinse off with water.

Other notes:
** I'm not sure why, but this doesn't work nearly as well if the wheel was wet before using the hand cleaner,
** You can use this on your chain too. The hand cleaner is basically jellied mineral spirits with some lanolin to make your hands soft.
** Unlike a lot of other cleaners, the waterless hand cleaner will not etch or discolor bare aluminum.

Yes, we do have the fastest bike...I have not bought a stand yet, so I sprayed it continuously on the segments of chain I could reach. Then I actually moved the bike forward to move the chain and sprayed more. I used brush on stubborn areas then wiped clean. I then used a teflon based spray that I bought from the Honda dealer.

WD-40 works like a charm on the chain and the wheels...

I use Du Pont Teflon Multi-use dry wax lubricant. Doesn't leave any oily film.
