They don't look too bad as is... but what does look bad is that flat black strip on the nose/fairing location. What's up with that?:poke:

Excellent photographs, too, brother.

Paint 'em to match. You obviously need them.

If I had to put them on I would paint them to match.Even black would look better if your handy with a spray can.You could even put a Kanji on them.:beerchug:

The regular price of these Corbin bags is absurd, but they do look right on the bike and there is nothing else that lets you retain the full functionality. I've seen the Givi bags, but those won't let you carry a passenger. And compare the full up retail cost of a Hayabusa plus all the Corbin stuff to a new FJR1300, Honda ST, or a Concours 14 and the Hayabusa is still the winner. This is an amazing bike. :)[/QUOTE]

Actually, you can carry a passenger with Givi bags, you just need a different type of mount. I use SW Motech mounts and carry a passenger with two side cases and a rear case. Givi does do some colors too.

I do prefer the look of the Corbins, but didnt buy because of the price. My entire setup came from twisted throttle and cost me a little over 1,000 if i remember correctly, including the bags.

Will upload a pic when I get home tomorrow, but I have one in my member gallery.

My vote is paint the bags. They will look awesome.

Simple, If you have the $$ to paint them, go ahead. If not, heck, use them. I whish I could get my hands on a set. But no $$$.

You would have to be a total moron to put those on not matching the color. I voted to paint them.

Here is a picture of my '06 with the bags on. Please keep in mind that if you go with SW motech brackets, you have to have a factory tail and fender combo because the frame sides connect there. Will also have to reroute the wires for your signal lights. Not a major deal because I did myself . . .

With full size Givi bags, side plus an E52 top case, I was able to carry gear for 2 for a weekend with space to spare. Just have to make sure that your load is balanced . . . and be conscious of the additional width. i would NOT recommending whitelining unless you know wtf you are doing . . .

How much will you use them. What type of riding do you do? That should make the decision for you. They're nice and only worth spendin the money if your gonna use them alot. Me....I'd take the money and invest elsewhere.???

I'd say repaint them to match. You spent a lot of money on the things, and judging by the ones you bought, I'd say that you obviously care about aesthetics. Hell, maybe you can get the kanji airbrushed on.

Thanks to everybody for your votes and your comments. I was mixed on the color, but definitely leaning towards paint. It's just that I went wayyyy overboard buying this bike in the first place (as in double my budget), and then managed to go overboard by finding these bags at a price that was too good to pass on (but still none too cheap!), so now I am way wayyyy over budget.

Planning to paint them, especially since the majority opinion agrees with my initial impression. thanks again! - AJ

Here's my $.02--repaint them to match the bike. Look at pics 3 & 4--they just don't lookk right! In my opinion you got the GREATEST hard bags going--so make 'em look classy and repaint!

PAINT THEM. These things cost a mint. Don't know what you paid for them, but I suspect it would be worth it to paint them.

I once had Corbin Bags and eventually sold them. They are great as long as you know what you are getting into and accept it.
1. They are pretty small. Don't expect to be able to carry a lot of gear, and a full helmet will not fit.
2. They are "semi-permanent". While removable, the design does not encourage much on and off switching. I used to only put mine on for road trips, and that worked pretty well, bet what do you do once you reach your hotel on the other end? There are no handles on the bags and the hardware is deep in the bags, blocked by all your gear. Basically, you have to take your gear out and carry it into the hotel with your sox falling and your underwear hanging from your arm.....you get the picture.
3. Security is an issue. They have locks, but they are pretty much crap. Don't leave anything valuable in them for any length of time.

Anyway, they are beautiful, sleek and pretty cool. But they work best if left on all the time and your are not gonna carry a ton of stuff.
