Color mismatch on Hotbodies hugger!

I purchased an orange Hotbodies tire hugger for my '08 Busa about a month ago. The hugger is supposed to match the stock orange paint, but the color is quit a bit off.

I've traded a few emails (including pictures) with Kevin Tran at Hotbodies, but they do not seem to want to address the problem, and will not provide an RA#. I was also disappointed with the overall poor quality of the product that I received. There are many visible dimples in the plastic under the paint, there are drip-marks from overspray, and "orange peel" throughout the paint.

It's only a hugger, but it seems that the quality should be better. Has anyone else had similar problems?

My only experience with Hotbodies was with their taillight cover. It took three times before they sent me one without horrible dimples or ripples in the plastic. Their quality seems more miss than hit.

I've had nothing but problems with them and yeah, Kevin Tran didn't seem to care at all when I was dealing with him either. I got my blue hugger from them and it had a couple scratches on it out of the box. I had already returned a windshield to them and didn't want the hassle again. I kept it and it looks good on the bike. They won't get my business again.

There are 2 things you can do. You can live with it, or you can put up a bit of $$ to slurge for the paint and clear from color rite. I will be glad to help you out for free.

:welcome: GhostRiderUSA...... Sorry to here about the color mismatch. Thanks for the heads up & posting.

But ....:worthless:

I have their mirrors... blue and black on my k9 white.. they look great but functionality sucks... also one of them had dimples as well.. not great quality at all. I do not reside in the uS so returning them was gonna cost me too much.. not worth it... keeping them on coz they look nice... will try to get used to them. if not, their comin right off!

Well, I'm sorry to report that after lots of emails, I couldn't get anyone at Hotbodies or Pashnit (where I originally ordered the item) to respond, so I entered a complaint with the US Better Business Bureau to see if they can help with an exchange/refund.

I just wanted to report that Pashnit was able to help resolve this problem  Our hands were tied a bit because we first had to get Hotbodies to issue a return authorization. Opening a case with the US Better Business Bureau seemed to help as well. Thanks everyone for your feedback!!!

I bought a Hotbodies windshield for my 08, from CycleGear. The screw-holes in the windshield didn't line up with the holes on the bike. I took it back for a full refund. (I wound up buying a ZeroGravity windshield. It fit fine.)

Wow, never realized Hotbodies had such poor customer service. Definitaly won't ever be doing business with them. Thanks for posting and giving the rest of us a heads up! Glad you got the issue taken care of as well
