concealed carry do you keep it chambered

 Where do you store the Viagra because I know how much bigger your johnson must be with all those guns.

That's awesome but its all job related. The guy on the next page hit it on the head. See the "Columbia" reference.

We are contractors and are required to basically fend for yourself while in country.

in that case I take back any references to Viagra and johnsons.

I do however see a difference between you and the average guy who carries concealed weapons.

While home I usually just keep the H&K in the miami rig on.

You're right, I guess I should have put it his way. What is the minimun that a person should train\practice if they are going to carry a weapon? I am not talking about what is mandated but in order to be effective.

To me having a weapon is an option, but not always the best option. If you don't have situational awareness it could actually be more dangerous to you than not having it. Worse is having it and thinking that simply having it will make the difference. It will not.

Well said, and again I agree 100%. You see a lot of folks carrying concealed and it's gone right to their heads. NOW, they are Billy-bad-a55. Beyond that aspect yeah there are a lot of situations where your firearm is completely inappropriate and indefensible. So it's important to be aware of your surroundings, not put yourself in situations that are untenable.

Pushy bum on the street, drunken frat boys, drunken sorority girls, actually drunken ANYONE, punk kids, etc etc... There are far more instances where a concealed fire-arm just isn't that useful.

In answer to your other question I'd say that there isn't a right amount for anyone, it depends on the individual, but as just a wild guess I'd say that for an average person to remain competent enough to carry, draw, and hit a torso under stress at 20'? I'd say Monthly at least, some range time, and drills would be appropriate. DO some mental scenarios as well.

Always, the holster is hidden and the safety which is the trigger is blocked from accidental fire. But you only need use it once. God bless az. Guns are as safe as their owners.
