Concealed carry on your bike

Glad I don't live in ohio!
Arkansas if it's in your car it has to be out of sight. I've been pulled over in texas and arkansas with my 357 between the seats and haven't had a problem yet. I do always show my card first if I get stopped tho.
If I ever get my bike out the shop imma see if I can find a spot to conceal on it

I have a question without going offtopic:

is it legal to carry in just a shoulder holder over a shirt, or is this deemed brandishing as well?

I can't imagine a LEO or anyone going crazy over a piece thats formally sealed in a shoulder holster..

I've got my ccw, carry all the time, and honestly don't know the answer to that- I've never owned a shoulder holster (although I want a horizontal one.)

edit: from what I'm reading online, its jurisdictional? subject to where you live?

It would depend on state law, but a shoulder holster or any holster on the outside would not be considered concealed typically. Fanny pack, etc. Yes.

You guys with the compact 380's etc. They make a holster that fits inside the waste band.

Tank bag, sew the holster in place and leave the zipper portion open just enough to get a finger in there so you can open it in a hurry and draw the weapon. Any place you stash the gun on your person is going to play h311 trying to draw it in your gear. At least with the tank bag if someone tries to bike-jack (?) you at a stop light you will have a chance at getting to your weapon.

Maybe switch leave the zipper open and use velcro to close it so you can rip it open quickly but it will also stay closed while riding.

I used to get a catalog called Master of Concealment in the mail. They have a website Concealed Carry Holsters, Products and Clothing, Concealment Holsters, CCW Holsters, Handgun holsters

They have a lot of really cool gadgets and holsters to conceal your weapon of choice. I like the idea of the belly band but haven't tried it yet.

Glock 30 in a black hawk serpa II holster on my hip with a belt. My jacket covers it well as well as my shirt. But if I need to use it.... Its right there quickly. I can move it some on the belt I use for best comfort and placement as needed. I am 5'8" at 175lbs so concealing anything and having access is a pain. Went with the hip for ease of use, hiding, and comfort. It doesnt bother me at all with spirited riding in that location. I also carry when ever I can and figured if I dont change how I carry from car to bike. I will have a natural reaction to where it is on me when I need to use it.

For me........bushmaster ar-15 strapped across my back while riding.....let some a**hole cut me off:rofl:

No honestly i carry a sigma .40 nylon shoulder holster while on the bike.

Ruger LCP .380... Just toss it in a pocket...jacket pocket or pants, it's that small, cost you about 300 bux. If you decide against that idea, I like small of the back, under your jacket or a really long shirt. Problem with small of the back is when riding our shirts can blow up in the wind and expose the gun (felony brandishing) if not wearing a jacket. Typically if you're gonna need to use it, you'll be off the bike pumpin gas, or someplace parked hangin out. I say this because I assume you aren't gonna road rage while riding, nor pull a drive by on a busa...so it doesn't necessarily need to be accessible while on the bike, but just mainly so you don't get robbed while pumpin gas and such. That's really my only concern. I figure we ride expensive machines that are easily sellable on the black market and highly desired but not easily afforded. Sooo, I figure carrying is cheaper than full coverage insurance, at least in my case!

Check out Fobus paddle holsters too. Very comfortable imo.

I'd rather be judged by 12...then carried by 6!:beerchug:

2nd pic is actually a Kel-Tec inside a fobus paddle, but same exact design as the ruger. Actually I'm pretty sure ruger bit iff of the design after the patent expired...but you get the idea.
3rd pic is a Sig P238...one of my favorites but a couple hundred more expensive and heavier. But, same idea as the other "mouse" guns or ccw guns.

I usually carry my Kimber Ultra Carry II but have been annoyed lately by my desires for one of those LCP's lol. How does it shoot? They're cheap here too but also want a GP100 4" barrel

Ruger GP100 .357 is a nice gun! Shoots very well! I would like one too!

Kimber is a great gun...expensive though, and heavy. Fun to shoot and look at though. The LCP is a fun gun. It Is so comfortable to carry. You don't even know it's on you. It's a short distance gun obviously, so with such a short barrel I wouldn't be using this gun for anything but to get out of trouble in a hurry. Close range pop, pop, pop and I'm takin off. That's all these mouse guns are really designed to do. My dad didn't like them at first because it has a short grip, so recoil (not that it's bad) made him nervous that it would slip outta his hand on the kick. But he still carries one, he just purchased the extended mag with finger grip.

If your looking for something a little bigger, ruger just came out with a 9mm version that is only slightly bigger called the LC9. It's retailing here for 350 bux and below. BUT, there is a waiting list. It's gonna be a popular gun, obviously somthing so small in a 9! beautiful! I'm thinkin I may get one when I get the money. :beerchug:

1st pic, lcp with ext mag and finger grip. 2nd new ruger lc9.

OK so I know pretty much nothing about guns, with that said, why do you have to cover up your gun if your licensed to carry? I have ridden with guys and they have theirs strapped to their side plain as day and out in the open...is that illegal if he has a permit???

The mini glock fits inside my riding jacket inside pocket just fine, and probably easiest to get to in a hurry. Think about it:

1. Get gloves off
2. If on waist, lift leathers and draw
3. If in tank bag, got to grab around for that too.

vs.

1. Shrug off glove
2. Looks like going for lighter/cigs or wallet (if being robbed)
3. Shortest distance to point (instead of having to go back around your waist and up to firing position).

As far as concealment, doesn't show if you take jacket off or display shoulder/hip rig
The moment the robber looks away to climb on my bike, he's mine.

None are really good options.

Can you not handle, shoot or reload with your gloves on?
