cops

Well there are a few troopers here in ohio. but never run from a trooper they will chase you and though you may bee way faster you can never outrun the radio. The troopers in Ohio main purpose is not to catch killers like you all think they are traffic enforcement. and theres no undercover cars here in OHIO

ahh, but there is, we have undercover cars at our local OSHP post!

Indiana is weird... just have to learn to pay attetion and look for the speed traps, which are all over "super 70".  You would be insane to even think of speeding though it.

The Super 70 project could be a big revenue source for the State of Indiana, at least in traffic fines. Indiana State Police issued upwards of $22,000 in tickets in one day alone.
Indiana State Police troopers have been patrolling in the Super 70 construction zone 24 hours a day since the road work began in February and there have been 315 minor crashes in the work zone. Twenty (20) of those collisions caused minor injuries and there have been no fatalities. The number of crashes in the construction zone area is down about one-third that when roadwork is not occurring.

Troopers have issued over 28,000 tickets since the construction started, 11,000 of those for speeding and more than 13,000 for semi-tractor trailers that are prohibited from traveling in the zone.
There are deffinately unmarked in Ohio, I am working in Indiana and there are more cops here than I have seen anywhere else. Especially on 41 where the speed limit changes 10 times in 5 miles.

Indiana state police has had some fast cars.5.0 Mustangs,5.7 IROC's tuned to run 170+.Then the SS Camaro LS1,a RWD SS Impala LT1 with a belt drive super charger. Now the Charger's you're starting to see in small towns as replacement for the Crown Vic's.The super fast are just put on certain parts of the state.37 south of Indy is very heavy with the state boys.
Some of the cars are more than stock. Those SS Camaro's would run 180.It's been done. And those boys love their job in those cars. But no,it's not like that everywhere in the state.

Spending all that tax money on hot rods just to write a ticket

You can add another one to your list. Black unmarked Ford F-150 trucks with tinted windows and nice chrome wheels...they're really sharp looking!
And yet there are still dumbasses out there that will do high speed runs with other vehicles within eyesite because they don't see any "cop cars" around. Some of my favorite reading is when those tards whine about losing their license after they passed some odd unmarked police car while doing 150 mph.

Overall I find Indiana to be really tame when it comes to highway patrol, especially on I65 which is getting crazy fast. I'm up near Lake Michigan but love riding in Columbus county which is a little over 200 miles south of me. I average 85 mph on I65 which won't even turn a cops head these days. The speed increases more and more every year.

Few weeks back I rode to Hooters in Lafayette with a friend who rides an XX with a digital speedometer. When I got home this is an email I sent to him:

Was your speedometer showing 90 mph most of the way home? I65 is turning into an autobahn.

His reply:
Yea and people were wanting to pass me. If your speedo says 80mph, How fast do you think that really is? Were you able to check it with the GPS?

These were packs of minivans and SUVs passing us and I honestly can't remember the last time I saw a car pulled over on I65. Only places to worry about are Merrillville and Indy where the speed drops from 70 to 55. Of course the smaller highways and toll roads can be heavily infested with cops and speed traps.
