Well, me and my bud with the new ZX6RR rolled out together today. Got a little over 100 miles in. He's gettin' more comfortable and havin' more fun with each rotation of the wheels on that RR. Gotta admit that it was quite therapeutic for me, rollin' on the busa for the first time in a while. I railed on the way to his house since I knew we'd be holdin' to a slow pace. He's still a little nervous but he's doin' great.

We kept it below 60mph for the most part. I only nutted up once... Funny story.

A co-worker was in his patrol car in the parking lot when we came out of the store. We went over and talked to him for a few minutes and then went back to the bikes to mount up. While we were gearin' up this guy pulls up in a pick-up and says "Ya'll squeal the tires when you leave for that law man over there." and laughs. I think, hmmm... I tell the guy, "I've got his number." I tell my bud not to try and keep up and that I will wait on him down the road. The guy from the truck is standin' at the door of the store waitin' to see what I do. Well, I fuggin' blasted through the gears and hit about 115mph before I got to the first driveway from the store. Of course the patrol car never moved. I know that guy must have thought I had balls of titanium.

I don't normally jack around in front of co-workers but I just couldn't resist this time.

If I'd had time to let him in on it I would have shot him a bird as I circled past him before launchin' down the road.

Anyway, here are a few pics. Didn't take many. My bud wanted to get as many miles as we could so we didn't stop much. When we did, we took care of business and got back on the road. I didn't want to cut into his ridin' time with the camera.

Kind of suprised to see your personalized plate there Chris. It is truly over for the competition as we know.

Yeah, surprising to me as well. I originally flubbed up and didn't blur the tag. Then I blurred it and replaced the originals on pbase with the new ones. Evidently the replace image feature on pbase ain't worth a poop. Fixed now though. Thanks for pointin' out the fact that the tag wasn't blurred.

... I know that guy's jaw just dropped straight to the ground !!
Hey that's nice of you to take it easy with the rookie rider. I can imagine how hard it is not to unleash the beast.

I'm sure it felt nice to get back on 'Da Train again. Nice to have someone to ride with. Can't wait 'till Deals' Gap!

..funny story BT.. ..although most of us don't fake it when we pull similar tricks.. ..and we get our a** chased down for good - albeit, seldom caught..

Yeah, rollin' at below 60 mph on a busa is tough. I had to rail on the way to his house and on the way home to make it up to her. I think she understands though.

It feels wierd bein' the "experienced" rider and "teachin'" someone to sport ride though. I remember bein' the green rookie not too long ago. It's well worth the slow rides for now to have him to ride with when he's ready to roll. It's also worth it not to have another squid runnin' around not knowin' how to really ride a sport bike.

We went shoppin' for him some gloves yesterday before we rode. I'm pushin' him to wear his gear EVERY ride. He found a pretty damned nice set of Kobe gloves on clearance. Now we've gotta get him into some good protective boots. That'll have him covered on the minimum (jacket, boots, gloves, lid. Hopefully I'll be able to get him into full leathers by next ridin' season. I figure when I get leathers he will too.

Hey Man, Train still out the door or did you work something out???

I still need to move her to get everything squared away, but I've knocked out about two thirds of my debt through other means. If I could sell 'er I'd be out of debt except for my house and could get back on two within two months tops. If she don't sell it's gonna take several more months to dig the rest of the way out. She's still up for sale...
