Friend down

hate to hear that man. One blessing is that he has a good friend like you to hang in there while he pulls through this. Tim will be in our prayers today.

(GSXTacy @ Nov. 29 2006,21:46) Hey Doug, any idea on an address to send cards to? Maybe set up another fund?
Outstanding Idea!!

I was thinking that it would be great if we could reach out to him, card, something...

Thanks everyone again, just caught up on alittle sleep and came in to work at the FD. Tim came off the vent yesterday. Ya-Baby. Took them acouple of tries, he was being kind of like a bear coming out of hibernation. Was still under alot of meds. Also some secondary things to be checked out now. Some of the signs look real promising. It's still going to be along recovery but looking up, keeping the faith. Doubt he'll be going to the spring bash but we'll see. Going back up to the hospital in the morning when I get out and I'll post the address as soon as I get home. That was a great idea Gsxtacy, guess I should have grabbed that this morning but my mind was a little on the numb side. Doug

Good news....

(KanjiBusa @ Nov. 28 2006,01:47) Sorry to hear, will keep him in mind, I have some extra parts, let me know if i can help rebuild his busa
Thanks, but to be honest with you as soon as I saw Tim I didn't even look at the bike except to get it out of the way. Haven't seen it yet. Park Service is closing investagation(they do one on any accident w/ personal injury). I'll try to go get it sometime next week if I can get the tow service to release it. The Ins. Co. is trying to help with that. I'm not the Reg. owner. Than at some point Tim and I will have to talk about it. That maybe a while. When he's settled abit and ready too. Thanks, most apprecated, Doug

Will say prayers for Tim and you also Doug, it is very tough seeing a friend down......... I have been through that once.........
I will keep you both in my thought and prayers... speedy recovery

Hi to everyone. Yesterday started out as another day little down only because no news, no change. Everyone getting alittle on edge, understandable. Than late last night an incredable turn, he came to. His mom and brother were there. Like his mind said, enough time to get up. He had an actual conversation. He remembers parts of the accident. He actually brought it up. It took alot out of him and he went back to resting. His mom called me right after, very excited, Well Ya!

I stopped in this morning on the way to work and the nurses said at one point he joked alittle when they woke him up to check vitals. He was pretty sleepy this morning but he started rubbing his head. So I asked him how it felt. He kinda opened one eye and groned "super". Not real convincing but I'll take it.

Thanks to eveyone, Prayers and good wishes do make a differences. I got the address if anyone would like to send a card I'm sure he would enjoy them.

Address is: Eastern Maine Medical Center, 489 State St., PO BOX 404, Bangor, ME 04402-0404, Timothy Campbell/ICU RM#146

Thanks again, promise to update!!!

Man that is incredable. Wonderful news. It does my heart good to know that is is awake and talking, and recognizing people he knows and loves. Thanks for the update, and thanks for caring so much about your friend.

tough break, prayers sent, keep posting updates on how he is doing. Nothing worse than a buddy going down in front of you!
