I don't mean to offend anyone but I am a "take care of home first" type of person. I know too many college graduates that are out-of-work or under-worked because someone with a green card is working hard and paying taxes or jobs were moved over seas for cheap labor. There are companies that are lobbying to increase work visas for technical positions because they say the US work force is just not skilled enough. The reality is these workers are an investment in emerging markets instead of the US.

The way I see it, immigrants, legal or illegal, are not the problem, its the people who hire them.

I can in part actually agree with this. There is no reason to grant Visa's when our unemployement rate is 9%, AND we continue to pay 2-3 years of unemployment benefits. Don't grant Visa's, send the illegals home and start cutting enemployment benefits, and eventually people who are currently sitting around unwilling to work will start to go get the jobs that ARE available. They may not LIKE the job, but again, nothing in the US is garanteed but the PURSUIT....

if the government didnt encourage them and their entire families to stay here and move here and bleed us dry there would be no one to hire.

farm and factory owners are businessmen and there to make a profit. they couldnt give a chit who does the work for them as long as it gets done cheap. no different then American companies opening up factories in third world countries. its for one reason only. CHEAP LABOR. business owners are not the problem. the entitlement programs and our countries lack of illegal alien enforcement are the problems.

Anyhow, I thought the "THE JOKE" was pretty darn funny myself. Before the race card just had to be thrown in there. ???

more? are you insinuating that ANY that come here for welfare is acceptable? it doesnt matter to me why they come here. when they do they have anchor babies and get free health care, food, room and board. you think thats a good thing?:talk2hand: I sure as hell dont!

Baby Jesus made something perfect out of nothing. Didn't take from anyone to give to anyone else.
The US Government makes nothing, only what it can take from one to give to another, and not very efficiently at that.

Helping others is a NOBLE cause, but are you willing to cut your own throat (which is what our government is doing) to do it?

im sorry but the Canadian company I work for just sank 30 million into our plant in ohio, now i know thats not alot of money but they cant find anyone to fill the positions they need filled. I dont know but i figure $20-$27 an hour isnt bad coin for a machinist or programmer there. SO if they cant get people they should be allowed to hire out even if that means a work visa. Your rate of 9% unemployemnt isnt good but people need to make themselves employable..if they are not willing to do that but complain about not having a job. Its nobodies fault but their own... as for the joke its funny... racist maybe ,, i dont care it was funny.. the guy is allowed his opinion
