(OZZY @ Oct. 04 2007,10:05) the dragon is a bit overwhelming at first.  after a few passes i get much more comfortable with each pass.  like Hal said, there are a ton of great roads in the area and you could go all week without riding the dragon and still have the time of your life.

Hal,  count me in for some of your other passes.  especially thunder road as i have yet to ride that!!  it was hard to get in contact with people at the phillips when staying at the microtel unless ur an early bird which im not.  due to that, i missed out on some good riding from what i hear.

we are at the phillips in the spring so please allow me to join ya fellas for a few of the rides.
I'm usually up early, run the dragon one or twice before breakfast at CROT.  After breakfast I run the outer roads and leave the dragon to the crowds.
dennis, we certainly had a nice lil ride there on that sunday of the spring bash with do3, his bud (macfast???), and my buddy todd.  hopefully we can get together for a few more rides while we are down there!!!
Absolutely. See you in the spring.

off to the corner you go Don.

You are about the 4th person I have heard say that, the other 3 were already at the Gap.

The other drives are far less stressful and VERY enjoyable.

Running the foothills is awesome as is the skyway. We rode 150-200 each of the 3 days and only ran the dragon one way 2 of the 3 days. By the end of day 3, the dragon was not so uncomfortable..

I think it taught me that fear can occur at <25 mph.
