Question:
As indicated, I have a 2000. I understand that the TRE would not have an effect on mine because it did not have the limiter in that year, but is it also true that it would not have an effect on the lower gears. It seems to run great the way it is. Just curious.

Hey AUTOMON, if you want to check it- start the bike hold the throttle at 2500 rpm in neutral and pull the clutch in. The RPMs should rise. If it does it works.

While there is no increase in PEAK horsepower, you will get about 15 more horsepower at low R.P.M. in the first few gears according to Ivans performance. this makes sense. If you want to know more about it, go to ivansperformanceproducts.com.

They now sell a "SMART" TRE that gets rid of the idle roughness. I know this works because I bought one. It costs $110.00 and can only be purchased directly from Ivans. They JUST came out with it, so there is no web site info yet.
