I believe in personal, religious and economic freedom all dished up with a heaping helping of personal responsibility. I believe that government is fundamentally incompetent and the only way to keep said incompetence in check is to constrain said government's growth. Those who believe that the government can effectively manage health care should consider this fundamental axiom.
I also believe that Democrats are fundamentally socialists and what they are trying to get away with now on health care should provide sufficient evidence for anyone that cares to look. Next comes "cap and trade" to suck more life out of our economy. Republicans have their issues as well, but that's another discussion.
Unfortunately, too many of my fellow Americans said "YES WE CAN" to socialism in past elections and many freedom-loving people will suffer because of it. As much as I hate to say it, as a country, I guess we deserve it. If citizens cannot appreciate the Constitution and the benefits of the limited federal government that it prescribes then our liberties are doomed to the bleak pit of an ever-expanding bureaucracy for which there will never be enough "rich" people to satiate. It's just too bad that we ALL have to suffer from their poor and often uninformed choices.
