If anyone on a sportbike doubts the benefit of sliders, look closely at the pic of the right side of my bike.I'm having second thoughts about the frame sliders I put on now, did they do anything for you?
Most here probably didn't remember what Diablobusa is.holy crap, Rex...how the hell did I miss this?
Damn dood.......reaal glad you're not worse off. At least the bike don't look to be in bad shape either. It doesn't seem like it'll be too costly to fix up.
Damn....glad yer still with us, bud. Heal up quick, ya hear?
Not picking on ya Pac. :wizard: I was intending to say that not as many people have been looking at the crash/accident thread, as the general bike thread for the crash reports.Nah nah....I mean, I remember diablobusa...but I don't know how it slipped me that you crashed.
Guess I must be slipping...
I really apreciate the offer. I'll be calling my insurance agent tomorrow to see if it'll be worth filing a claim.Stock cans are boxed up ... where do ya want me to send them? Glad to know YOU'll be around to open the box!!!
Suzuki DL1000You people are incredible. Don't worry about sending anything. I apreciate all of the responses, and help, very much.
I wrote a list af all parts that need to be replaced, and took it to my local dealer for repair costs. The total cost of parts and labor is more than $10,000. The front forks are also slightly bent causing the front wheel to drag on the brakes.
Diablobusa will be totaled, and I won't be able to buy it back.
After talking it over with the wife, I will be buying a new bike next year. That'll give me the whole winter to get my shoulder and back fixed. I'm not sure what kind of bike I'll get then, but I'll let you know when I decide.
Hopefully you won't ming me lurking about until then.
This is still one of the best motorcycle forums I've ever found! Keep up the good work! Hopefully I've been able to contribute something of value to this site.
Ride safe, think safer!
God Bless,
Funny, I was just thinking the exact opposite... Looks to me like they didn't do a damn thing... Except prolly bend and crack the fairing where they were mounted, maybe tweeking the mounts in the frame in the process...If anyone on a sportbike doubts the benefit of sliders, look closely at the pic of the right side of my bike.I'm having second thoughts about the frame sliders I put on now, did they do anything for you?
How do you think it would've faired without them?
That should remove any doubt!
