Used to listen to music via Sirius or an MP3 player, but have decided there are too many idiots on the road here on the Space Coast to warrant any distraction that takes me away from 100% concentration while riding.

Coming home from church Sunday, I almost had 5 accidents in the space of about 6 miles because of idiots ("the other guy") not paying attention and either pulling out in front of me, not stopping behind me (cell phone), swerving, or running out of his/her lane.

Just isn't worth having tunes along for the ride anymore. If I did more fun rides on infrequently traveled backroads, I'd hook up the Sirius to the new Busa and enjoy (though cable management is a PAIN! They really need to make a satellite radio receiver for motorcycles that is easily worn, connects to a helmet-mounted antenna, and can be recharged on/connected to the bike if not being worn.) I don't enjoy being wired to the bike.

was just reading all the posts from before and noticed i had voted almost a year ago and didnt post anything  so i voted yes ...before i just used my blackberry that i had at the time then the droid recently added mottocomm headsets so i had gps music phone and soon 2 way radio coming this season only because my friend with a busa (insain76)so we
can communicate with each other and i have to say the canada trip i took last year was awesome with music ,i love hearing the busa as much or more than the next but music can turn a awesome scenery into a work of art well you know what i mean. jsut because you cant hear doesnt mean you cant be focused on the task that means you need to pay attention to whats going on ...look in your mirrors especially when at stop lights but i drove semis too ...always look through intersections left right left right behind you forward music just makes it easier........well thats my 2 cents

I did it once and my right wrist started twisting too much. I'm a metal fan and between that and the HP of this beast it's dangerous for me. I have and Alien Head on the way and that'll be music enough to my ears:laugh:

I have Sammy Hagar on repeat "I cant drive 55"
I always used to ride with no ear plugs nor music, I then took the advice of other riders to wear ear plugs it did take some getting used to at first after not wearing em for 25+ years of riding, but once I learned to wear them I can focus better on the road with less wind noise as a distraction.
I do enjoy listening to Pandora radio with my memory foam ear buds on some average rides, but when out thrashing I just use the ear buds to prevent the wind noise with no music.

Riding most everywhere I've got music going, kinda all over the place from classical to modern alternative. However in the twisties all I listen to are 1340cc's of fury. Music actually distracts me when I'm riding fast.

Music distracts "Everybody" when they ride regardless of speed. I have noticed I never find well schooled seasoned riders listening to music when they ride. Seasoned riders are very much aware of that little thing called "Concentration" which is mandatory if one expects to reach the upper levels of riding.

The main building block of the foundation of any good rider is "Concentration". No one and I mean "NO ONE" can totally concentrate on the task of proper control of a motorcycle with Sammy Haggar pounding in their ears.
