143 days left for me but who's counting?(Devil Dog @ Jan. 08 2007,14:08) Ok...so here it is.
I love being a Marine. I love doing my small minute part
in the defense and support of this great nation. Being a
Marine is awesome.....
On the other hand......I'm VERY ready to turn the page and end this Chapter of my book. I'm really tired.
I'm tired of seeing my children cry when I deploy for 6-9 months. I'm tired of not owning a home and knowing that I can live there forever if I choose. I hate to bring money up in this rant......cause Lord knows I do not do it for the money!!!! I'm tired of living paycheck to paycheck. I hate stretching "nothing" into barely "something."
I retire in about 30 months. After 20 years, I'm ready. I feel like I did my part. I gave a huge part of my life to my Country and for that I feel satisfied. I'm ready to settle down. Like I said....I love the Corps....
But I'm tired!

No worries shipmate, it just another challenge you have to tackle head on but this time without a safety. So plan, plan and plan and save, save and save (invest) before you make a move in any direction before and after you make the transition to the crab world.(Devil Dog @ Jan. 08 2007,14:29) Thanks Ty.....
Best thing about it......I'll only be 37 y/o and retired after 20 years of service. Plenty of time to start a career, huh?
