Best of luck to you and like everyone else said, make sure you set goals and bust it out in the summer months, because you are less active on average during the winter months. This is what we tell the Soldiers all the time.

well its been a couple weeks and i'm up to a mile already. I wasn't hopin to get a mile for a few weeks yet so i'm beyond pumped. I've found also that either directly or indirectly related to the joggin & slight lifting....that i'm experiencing a decreased appetite. Sure I still snack but I just don't crave the chocolate or chips & JUNK as much.....
I think maybe its the emotional eating I was doin. Joggin & wrkin out pushes my body to release the endorphins and I get my "high" from that instead of the junk food.

I work out at least 5 times a week for the last two years and I'm in the best shape I've ever been in. At 31 I'm 5'9 183 lbs and on the machine bench press I do sets of 6 with 345, but the doc also has me on testosterone therapy because I was low and I encourage all of you to get it checked. It made all of the diference for me with energy and just plain lust for life in general.

I needed some help with my diet because i was trying to get down to 8% BF and not lose any muscle. went to intensemuscle.com and Ken Hill is a nutritionalist for a crap load of pro atheletes. been working with him for 2 months and i cant believe the progress i made. if you are looking for some serious weight loss give him a shout :)

cut out all sodas drink water and eat six times a day just smaller servings.i did this and went from 223 lbs to 208 lbs in a short time. just keep at it and you will see results.

Try not to focus on a bodyweight goal. The trick is to focus on a body composition/appearance goal. Yes, we all want tighter stomachs and go about doing a ton of cardio thinking this is the best avenue to get there. Unfortunately, cardiovascular exercise only elevates your metabolism during the session until no more than 1 to 1.5 hours after you are done. However, you will benefit greatly from resistance training because every pound of muscle you put on will consume an extra 50 calories per day not to mention that weight training elevates your metabolism for eight or more hours after your session. This will accelerate your metabolism so as to burn more fat and the net effect is a smaller waistline. Besides the more mass you put onto your chest/shoulders/back the more you will shift the focus from your stomach thereby de-emphasizing it. The big gut will shrink quickly as you shift your diet towards calorie reduction because a lot of the girth in the gut comes from large amounts of food in perpetual digestion. So, eat lighter, do some running and hit the weights. You'll see a transformation quickly.

Testosterone therapy = Steroids = Heavier benchpress...

If you undertake weight training exercise, your body at that age will naturally produce more testosterone because of the muscle stimulus. You probably don't need the Testosterone therapy any longer and should go about weaning yourself off it as soon as possible.
