It was the old paper gaskets that was most of the problem.Just let it warm up before high rpm are applied

The oil is staying in, but I'm giving her an extra 20 mississipi's before taking off in the morning.

I re-read the owners manual, and sure enough, Suzuki recommends 10w40... and if that isn't available, refer to the chart.

20w50 is on the chart, and is statistically more representative of the weather that I ride in during July/August here in the bay area.

I figure I'm dumping this stuff out at 2000 miles, and I'll replace with some sort of semi-synth 10w40 and that should do the treat.
