Dont laugh... what is your fav kitchen device?

Good question, I have a lot of toys in the kitchen, and as soon as i get something new i have ot use it.. But I can narrow it down to 2.. My set of Henkil knives, and my Lodge cast iron cook ware set.. Nothing like cast iron to make food taste good.. Oh an i have a real pickel crock from the 1800's

It's actually good for putting iron in the body too

My knives I use for work. The top two are 30 year old, 21" hand fordged vintage Gustav Ern Emil. One I use for cracking lobsters, the other I keep in the box. They are rare knives.

Most of my knives are carbon steel not stainless. They hold an edge better.

From the left,
Extra long tongs good for reaching the bottom of a deep fryer and all the way to the back of an oven.

Candy thermometer good for candy and deep fryers.

Roux whisk handy for pan sauces and deglazing.

Microplane zester. removes the perfect amount of zest.

Pour spout, good for oil or wine bottles on a cooking line.

Box cutter, I sure ain't gonna use my good knives on cardboard.

T-handle peeler. Carrots to squash does it all.

Steel ring molds, and up at the top taller pvc plastic pipe molds. Handy for plating, pastry etc...

French rolling pin tapered at the ends, easier to control and lighter than a standard pin.

Multi-tool. Stuff is always broken in a kitchen and no one has a screwdriver or pliers.

Digital oven proof thermometer, Takes the guess work out of prime ribs.

Wooden lemon juicer.

Dough scraper. flat top grills, cutting boards, bread dough, endless uses in a kitchen.

Narrow steel spatula. It drives me crazy when people use soup spoons, table knives as spreaders, so I carry a few of these.

My wife of course, before we met I only had four devices - a fork, a spoon, a knife and a ever changing set of cups from Mcdonalds...

I literally never cooked...

oh man I couldn't say but the coffee maker is definitely on the list in fact I need a new one  but what I really want is a professional grade deli meat slicer but at an average of $700- $1200 that's a ways away

Microwave, every time a bell rings I get hungry, wife works nights microwaves are guy fire you know.

the cuisinart. or maybe the calphalon unison skillet my wife just won. i'd never spend 130 bucks on a pan, but it's pretty rad.

I could live on brownies & chili....

COME on OVER!! I make some pretty mean hot dogs and mac and cheese too

(You should have seen the look on the Le Creuset salesman's face when I told him I like the grill pan because it puts the nice grill marks on my hot dogs .. he thought I was kidding!)
