Only kidding! I hope you heal up quick and pain free!

Cut the calf of my right leg in half back in 1992 on my V Max. It took 6 months to heal up.... Bad wounds have to heal from the inside out, and your right changing the bandage hurts like hell.. Let me tell you deer and a cycle don't mix well. I always thought at night I would have time to slow down their eyes reflect the light. Well come over a rise in the road with them running away and their a$$es don't reflect worth a dam!

05BUSABLU - man, those are some nasty battle wounds. One of these days (maybe months from now), when your feeling better...could you elaborate on what caused you to crash, how fast, weather/road conditions?

The wounds look...searching for words here....

.... Painful to say the least. Man, for something like that do they have you on a continual Morphine Drip? Must be almost impossible to get any decent rest / sleep.

Not sure how the heck I missed this thread, but I hope you have a full recovery, and you can find something to ease the pain. Man - completely brutal pics you posted

I will keep you in my Prayers bro...hoping for the best for you.

Did you ever get the results of the wound culture? Was it some common skin flora like Staphylococcus epidermitus or was it the dreaded Methycillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus? What antibiotic are you on and did you get a tetanus shot?? Even though it looks really bad right now you have some really good granulation tissue on the edges of the wound site and after the wound heals from the inside out you should do just fine with a bit of a scar to show for your suffering:)
Am I the only one who has no idea what he just said? And that is a nasty hole you got there bro. Hope it heals up good for ya.
Staph Epi. is what they call normal skin flora, but becomes a threat when it gets a chance to set up infection. MRSA is a strand of Staph Aureus that has to be treated with most likely a strong antibiotic called Vancomycin. Both staphs are catalase positive, but only staph aureus is catalase and coagulase positive. Most staph infections are obtain while you are in the hospital recovering so be careful! Any question, P.M. me.
