I don't know what it looks like but, I would ride it until I got the money to have it painted.

I'm sure Sam feels the same way. Since the gas tank is metal this would be salvageable. The plastics I'm not sure about.

Now, with that said there are scratched and lightly damaged panels on this site all the time. We have great painters also.

I say we go from there.

Riding this season will be limited however. They're is nothing we can do about that.

What I don't understand is why some bikes look good and quality work appears but Sam's is flaking off with runs in paint etc. plus the runaround from XXX.

I just don't get it. Wouldn't Sam's bike be good advertisement?

Because XXX didn't touch his bike for 6 months it sat there. Then when Sam threatened to come pick it up whether it was done or not, they then did a hurry up and get it finished CHIT job. This stuff is all preperation. That is why it is flaking.

I'll throw in some money if others want to help Sam buy som enew plastics...and get a painter on the org to paint them up for him....I don't have alot of money but I will donate what I have....Anybody else want to help?.....Look at it this way....its kind of like he went down on his bike and we as a FAMILY need to help him get it back on the road. I may also be able to get you a tail section if interested....

Sam sitting on his couch all upset because all his friends are at the Bash having fun....Ding Dong...the doorbell rings...its UPS....Sam we have a package for you...just sign here..."i"m not expecting a package" Sam says to himself.....he opens the box....there is a new set of plastics with a new coat of paint on them....by the time he wipes the drool

from his mouth the UPS guy is long gone.....and if we don't put a return address on the plastics he can't send them back to anybody.

This isn't supposed to be a charity case...and its not...One of our brothers got screwed and to be very honest I wouldn't ride the bike either...I take pride in my Bike and if somebody F***ed it up .....I would let it sit rather than ride it...Thats just me....His tank may be ok to strip and repaint...but how are his plastics?

I TOTALLY know its not charity...and I hope that Sam wouldn't think of it that way...We are a FAMILY and I try and help out FAMILY whenever possible. If I was closer I would pay XXX a visit...and try and talk to a manager or heck even the owner....But if it takes me and other members here to pitch in a coupld of bucks to help another FAMILY member out...I will.....its my way to give back for everything that has been given to me from this place.

ya i'd be mad too but there's no way i'd sit a year of riding out because of it, that would be kinda stupid i.m.o, why put yourself out of having fun on your bike because of there work. if it runs and is dependable ride the s.o.b!!!
