Well somebody needs to take the wheel driving this bus....I will take on this one...I have someone on the inside checking on the cost of plastics and once I have that info I will have a better hand on what exactly we need. His tank may be ok to strip and repaint...but how are his plastics?

Plastics look like they could be stripped and repainted. He checked his mirrors this morning - chrome is flaking off in big chunks. Mirrors are glossy and look as good as new underneath. Which is good - he was really hoping to use Joseph's mirror mod.

Sam would know more. I was too upset to even look at it this morning.

everybody has an opinion, im not saying he is a baby but(acting like one) why sit out a year because of some shoddy work? If it was a safety issue i would understand completely but its not, chrome flaking and paint flaking off is no excuse to let something as ejoyable as a hayabusa sit for a year. Im sure he will still enjoy riding it and possibly come up with an even better color/chrome combo in the future.

If someone wants to give me some pointers on how to strip them - I could do it. That would have to save money keeping the fairings and doing at least that much myself.

Dude not sure about you...But like I have said twice...Some of us take pride in our ride....and if it looks like azz...I'm not riding it...

He's figuring that with the bike being torn down again sending fairing to paint, etc he wouldn't get any riding time. A couple painters we checked with take at least 6 weeks.

Very frustrating when he figured he would be riding by now, just to have to wait that much longer.
