Dropped it with lowering links and a strap that is. Hehehehehe... Ain't I awful usin' that title?
Anyway, I installed my new dog bones today. Got a set of three holers from TheRotorWoman on eBay. Excellent pieces and her service is top notch! She would fit in perfectly on this board. She's definitely "our kind of people". She does business pretty much like Tom @ Veltune.com. I highly recommend her if she sells something you need! Personally, I liked the ball milling on her bones better than what I've seen on any of the other bones. That's why I gave her a try. You know me... Even though they're pretty much invisible when installed I still want the trick stuff. Just like the BDE PAIR block off plates.
Except for needin' a BIG breaker bar to break the nuts loose to remove the stock links the install went smooth as butter. Was gonna do a step by step with photos but after havin' to fight the bolts so much to get started I was so pissed that I didn't feel like messin' with the camera... until I was done and saw how she looked of course.
In these pics the bones are in the middle hole (1-1/2" drop with these links I think). The front is cinched down with a Scnhitz strap. It's as far down as I could get it by rollin' forward and hittin' the front brakes while tuggin' on the strap end. It's pretty much bottomed out with no play. VERY stiff... Oh, and I'd hate for a fly to hit 'er in the exhaust side. Not near enough lean on the side stand to park anywhere but on level ground or with the side stand on a down grade. Gotta get me one of them purdy adjustable side stands from Tom now.
And now for a few pics... Not the best I've posted but it shows my baby's new attitude... I think it's super extra schweet lookin' this low!!!
I'd hate to have to cross a speed bump though!
Don't she just look all track ready and stuff?
Oh yeah, I done a few hard launches in the driveway after the drop. She blasts out of the hole now and no worries about wheelies. Just feels like I get ass ended by a jet or something. Hoooooooooold oooooooooooooooooon! Can't wait to get 'er to the drag strip! Wooooohoooooooo!!! Come on spring!!!
Before for comparison... (older photo)
Side shot...
Front shot..
And her rear...
