I was in Sidney back in July, then went to Cairns, I would have loved to have my bike there. The Captian Cook Highway up the coast, and the road up to Kuranda was AWESOME. Would have been better on the Busa!
Anyhow, any updates, have the Police come up with anything? Any locals tried to swing by, to see anything at the address? Good luck!!

not gonna jack his thread, but ....when i landed in sydney i met a couple of guys, students from ut in austin that were on the same flight i was from auckland...

"Yes, I spoke with him. He’s a shiftless type on criminal probation. I can’t trust him, however, the account is in the name of his wife who he claims to be separated from, since she cheated on him while he was in prison. He does not know where she lives, nor does he know why another female named Jennifer Lutz is on the cancelled Ebay account. Jennifer, he claims lives in Florida now. Still working on it."

No not right now, I have completed some background work and I am waiting for a call back from and insurance investigator, in an effort to try and figure out exactly where he's getting the motorcycles and parts in the first place.
Stay in touch with me and I will keep you informed of whats going on.

There is nothing I can do for your case.
He says she did it, she says he did it.
I can't help yo. There just is not enough evidence to charge anyone.
He denies the auction.
I have, and neither do you (unless you have something more substantial to add) that you actually spoke to him, and not some other man who says he was the seller.
He's separated from his wife, who he says controls the EBAY account.
She would not return calls and has no address where I can find her.
There is not enough for me to do anything at this point criminally.

Ouch!! Sorry this happened to you. I would follow through with the "Comsumer Protection Division". They may have some other way for you to at least get a judgement against them. I don't know. That is just dirty and I feel bad for you.

That does suck I hope it gets worked out for you.
I have had over 300 transactions on e-bay and sold 2 Harley's only had one issue but the seller refunded me $100.00.
I also thought Paypal had buyer protection. What did they say? Did you make the purchase with a credit card that had buyers protection?

I used Paypal and they said "there was no money in his Paypal account to refund""

on ebay you have to read their feedback to kind of get a good idea if they're honest or not.
