Edouard Michelin has lost his life whilst on a fishing expedition near the French Finistere region as his boat sunk near the Sein Island . Michelin and a friend sailing with him , both lost their lives .

With an engineering degree behind him , Michelin joined the company that bares his name in 1985 . From May 12th Michel Rollier and Michelin managed the group in the capacity of Managing Partners .
